After nearly 7yrs at Dobbies Garden Centre, Maidenhead Aquatics @ Galton will have its last day trading on site on the Sunday the 4th of February.
We’re so sad that our stay at Galton is coming to an end but the current economic climate requires we consolidate our operation and therefore will be merging with our sister store at Wimborne Maidenhead Aquatics.
Mike will be at our Wimborne store, Paul is now at Taunton, James will still be at the Garden Centre café, Lizzy has still been checking the Facebook and Joey has been popping in on the regular.

If we do not have what you require over the coming weeks we can still get it for you in store up until the 4th of February. After then you will still be able to shop our extensive range of stock at our Wimborne store.
As we prepare for our move we will be reducing stocking levels of fish and dry goods.
We have a bunch of offers going from livestock to ex display aquariums, so come and see if there’s anything you’d like before it’s gone!
Once again thank you for your support over the past years - we can’t express just how much all of you have meant to us ❤️

As we approach the big day, we would like to wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a bubbly New Year in 2024! We are truly grateful for your continued support and loyalty throughout the year and have some exciting new projects to share with you in 2024.

In fact, 2024 is a landmark year for us, so keep an eye on our website and social media for news and announcements to make sure you don't miss out!

All Maidenhead Aquatics stores will be open over the festive period, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Please note that some may also be closed on New Year's Day, so we'd recommend calling the store you plan to visit before leaving home, as some may also be operating on reduced opening hours. Rest assured, however, that all of our fish and livestock will receive special Christmas feeds and water changes and that we'll ensure they're all well and happy over the holidays.

Test you water!! We say it all the time…
‘Why do my fish keep getting sick?’ - did you test?
‘Why does my tank keep going green?’ - did you test?? (And how long are your lights on for, but that’s by the by!)

The answer to 90% of problems we’re presented with is ‘Have you tested your water?’. That’s because to fix most aquarium problems, is to fix the water quality! Grab a test kit - you know it makes sense! We will even show you how to use them, simples!

🐟🍽️ Vitalis Tropical Grazers 🍽️🐟 Wanted to show everyone some of what we feed the fish at the shop. We do a flake/pellet feed, a meat feed and sometimes a snack in between daily. We’ve always loved these grazers, which we break into pieces, but they come with suckers to stick to the side of the glass so you can enjoy your fish! Our lot go nuts for them ❤️🐟

🐟🫧 We’ve done a switcharoo with the AquaOak tank in the shop. The frogs have their own little tank now, and we’ve decided that goldfish don’t get the credit they deserve! There’s 5 babies here and Lizzy’s already naming them 🙄 This adventurous Black Moor is called Badger the Brave apparently. I just…I can’t, I just can’t 🦡🐟❤️
