Sometimes Pets can cope with being near other Pets, sometimes they find this difficult. This depends on many different things.
Our Dog Friendly and ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Reception Team will help you decide where is most comfortable for you and your pet to wait for your appointment and help them settle.
For Example-
🐾 You can call us from the car and stay their with your Pet
🐾Ask if a consult room is free for you and your Pet to wait there
🐾Call and wait outside with your Pet
Waiting room still busy at your time to go in? We can take you and your Pet through a different, Pet free entrance!

We love it when dogs come to the clinic relaxed and happy to be examined, ready to place their trust in us.
As a Dog Friendly Clinic, we encourage puppy owners to practice examining their pups and giving them treats at the same time, so their dogs grow up learning not to be worried about being examined.
We teach this at both 🐶Puppy Playgroup🐶 and ⭐️Confidence Clinics!⭐️

Are vet visits scary or stressful for you and your pet?😬 Confidence Clinic is here to help💪
The aim of the clinic is to first reassure your pet that the vets is a nice place to be with the use of treats and toys then we introduce them to various veterinary equipment, once comfortable with this we can move on to train them for veterinary procedures such as going on scales, listening to their heart and chest, looking in ears, at paws, in mouth, injections, vaccines, blood samples etc.
Confidence Clinics are run by Clare & Grace, Fear Free Certified Registered Veterinary Nurses. Clare is also a Companion Animal Behaviourist.
🐾Please note we use Fear Free methods and always go at your pets’ pace. We are aiming to build a trusting relationship with your pet and going too fast can jeopardise this.🐾

Dilated Pupils- although they can look cute to us Humans, one reason pupils dilate is due to the stress hormone Adrenaline👀

Last week we celebrated Clyde completing his BINGO card🎉
We have started using Bingo cards in our clinic as a way to keep track of where each patient is at and areas still to work on.
It is also great at keeping us all motivated, sometimes progress can look slow when you are working towards a big goal- getting over a fear of the vets AND then giving consent for veterinary procedures🤯, MASSIVE!
But when broken down to small fun steps and the joy of gaining a sticker on your BINGO card, we all love a sticker😆 You realise it's manageable for all pets🥰

Lip Lick- when a dog licks to the front over their nose and around to either side keeping there tongue tight to their lips.
