Paws by the Coast is conveniently located close to both Dover and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone. Drop off and collection times are flexible and can be arranged to be mutually convenient. Other small furry pets may also be boarded subject to space available. Prices start at £11 per cat per day with discounts for 2 cats from the same family sharing.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to report that Izzie, my lovely Jack Russell, had to be put to sleep on Saturday as her failing kidneys took a sudden turn for the worse. Peanut the cat has lost his canine hot water bottle and I have lost my shadow.

You know how tricky it is to get your bed made, duvet cover on etc? Clara the Continental Giant rabbit was having that trouble, so gave up and headed downstairs! Clara is staying here whilst a local charity find her a new home with a rabbit friend to live with. Home check and adoption fee will apply.

🐈🐱Dave and Micky are looking for a forever home🏠

You can expect loads of head bumps and slow blinks from these two gentle and sweet-natured boys.

Micky is a confident boy, where as Dave will need a little time to build his confidence with new people. Because of this, a quiet calm home is preferred.

Both like a warm lap to sleep on in the evening and will knead for a while before they settle down. This is always accompanied by loud purring from Micky!
Dave spends each night curled up at the bottom of the bed, joined at some point in the night by Micky., so they find comfort in being in a home together.

Handsome, good fun and friendly, what more could you want?

Do you need your pet microchipped? Need your cat or kitten neutered?

We have two upcoming events in partnership with Protection - Canterbury

First up - FREE microchipping at Canterbury - Wincheap on the 11th July between 10am and 3pm. No need to book. Just pop along. The team can chip rabbits, dogs and cats.

Secondly - we can offer neutering support for cats & rabbits. £15 per pet. We have limited spaces with upcoming events or via our voucher scheme if the date is not suitable. Please email [email protected] to complete an online form or to know more.

Our Story

Paws by the Coast is conveniently located close to both Dover and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone. It is a relatively small, family run business with the emphasis on making the cats feel at home during their stay. At busy times we fill up quickly so early booking is advised but even at short notice it is worth contacting us to see if we can help but please be aware all cats must be neutered and up to date with their vaccinations.

We are also proud to care for several rescue cats whilst they wait for new homes. Drop off and collection times are flexible and can be arranged to be mutually convenient. Other small furry pets may also be boarded subject to space available. Please ask and we will see if we can help. Prices start at £9.50 per cat per night with discounts for 2 cats from the same family sharing.
