Montie tried a little scent work 🔥
He learned how to score a goal ⚽️ 🔥
Showed off his much looser lead walking 🔥
But unfortunately we had to cut the session short as poor Montie was showing irritation at his bum and when we seen there was a little blood there we agreed he should take a wee trip to the vet.
Turns out Montie has an infected a**l gland - poor boy has to wear the cone of Shame till his medicine starts to work 🫶

Everyone worked really hard - keeping their dogs focus on them even if they other dogs were close by.
My vet has had some cases so please be aware of what to look out for. If your dog is showing any signs of being ill please do not bring them to the park for 72 hours. Keep your wee ones safe. Thanks. X

Duckhill Dog Park - wk 1
Home visit for Hugo 😍
At 6months Hugo is still got so much a daft puppy mindset - not realising his size, he invades personal space and pulls his mum on walks to get to meet people/other dogs 🙈
Super friendly which is great - but not ideal when you just want to walk past people - not everyone wants this chunky hunk all up in their space 🙈
Today we put in place some new house rules to help Hugo control his excitement- while we still want him to be his happy go lucky self - we want him to understand we don’t want him jumping on us.
Without using any force or fear Hugo was learning just how rewarding keeping all 4 on the floor can be. 🔥
Without any need for micro managing or even asking him to do anything - Hugo began to make good behaviour choices of his own🔥
He was delighted to discover the power in hearing the numbers 3,2,1 🔥
We worked in setting the walk up with a more calm mindset from Hugo - including practicing moving through the front door ( something that is super exciting for many dogs) 🔥
This champ gave 100% and showed us all just how cool calm and in control of himself he can be 🔥

Home visit for puppy Steven 😍
Hes a sweet boy and pretty calm for a 16wk old puppy 🐶
His mum just wanted a few tips on how to best help Steven understand what is and what’s isn’t appropriate behaviours with us 2 legged.
Jumping up - most people don’t like that…
and yet so many people you meet on their walk - will still give a puppy attention when they jump up 🤷♀️ - usually saying “‘it’s ok”
In a few months that same person will not be thinking “‘it’s ok” when puppy is a full size dog.
Barking - most people don’t like that …
And yet when puppy is young and the barking is considered funny or cute- the puppy gets mixed messages.
Steven has a guilty pleasure stealing socks and enjoying the drama and chase that ensues to get them back🧦 🙈
Today we 2 legged chatted over the games & strategies to make this potentially dangerous habit something that can be easier interrupted in order to remove the stolen item.
With lots of practice using items that will be given up easier to help Steven understand that the release is a good deal … and importantly it doesn’t actually mean the end of the game.
Steven was refusing to jump up on me by the end of the session - no matter how silly or exciting I was 👏👏
We chatted over a couple of ways to build value in his recall so he can continue to enjoy off leash freedom 🐶

This is Skye and Jura 🐶🐶
They are going to be welcoming a new baby into the home soon as this means they have to learn the art of calmness - even around exciting things.
Their habits of barking at the window to anything moving past - is not ideal when trying to settle a new baby.
Today both girls started their learning journey to build the skills they need to be the bestest (and quietest) big sisters they can be.
Armed with new house rules and strategies to help Skye and Jura understand what’s being asked for them.

A Safe Space to practice working your dog under distractions
This is suitable for dogs that find other dogs distracting
Perhaps they are over excited and desperate to meet them
maybe they feel and act less confident when they see other dogs around - having the opportunity to be in the same area as other dogs can help build their optimism and confidence
A great opportunity to grow you and your dogs skills in the company of other like minded owners
⭐️Please be sure to maintain 2m spacing at all times from other dogs.

A little hoopers practice for the Widget 🐶 Working on me being a little further away from the obstacles ( so I don’t have to try and run to keep her pace) We only do this for fun 🫶
Friday LifeSkills 🐶Marlo had the place to himself so enjoyed off leash session. He played some whip it and we begun to add some rules to it Why? So that he grows the skills to be able to listen to instructions when he is in high arousal due to the desire to chase🔥 We worked with movement puzzles and like all the dogs who have played this - really enjoyed it🔥 He had a splash in the pool water 💦 #trainingwithgames #paygdogtraining #play2train #localbusiness #confidencecourse
Rumble taking on the hoopers obstacles for a play on the whip it 🐶 We do this purely for fun - not interested in competing in any way .. As long as we are both having fun He really enjoys the hoopers - and because he had to concentrate and listen even though it’s exciting = it’s mentally tiring

😍🤣 watch his face when I tell him he’s a good boy❤️🤣 This is Sully - and he is a super friendly boy 🐶 He had a first session today to help him develop ‘dimmer switch’ - instead of going from 0-100 at everything… Today Sully and his family were introduced to the calming communication to help him learn to calm himself down in order to get affection and attention he loves. He was a little star ⭐️ Sully discovered the incredible value in him coming to his 2legged when he hears them count 3,2,1 ⭐️ He played Mouse Game to help grow his calmness and disengagement ⭐️ He learned just how rewarding it is for him being in the right ‘heel spot’ ⭐️ Lots to practice before session 2 Can’t wait to hear how your progressing cutiepie 😍 #one2onedogtraining #trainingwithgames #play2train #LocalBusiness
