Gorgeous puppy Kali in for her first puppy intro😍 her owners doing the right thing and getting her started young!🐕💕

Helps so much for puppies to experience grooming from a young age, familiarises them with the new sights sounds, equipment, and process - and oc most importantly let's them build rapport and trust with said groomer🫶

This girl was amazing. Veeeery relaxed for a puppy. While my books are currently closed for large dogs breeds (with occasional exception), I do take on selective large dog breeds if they come from 12weeks old and attend regularly..

Welcome 2024!
(I have to admit New Year for me always feels more appropriate celebrated in Feb/March alongside nature's calender aligning with spring 🌱). I hope you are all well, and somewhat ready for the next trip around the sun. Astrological predictions are giving a very changing year! You may like to know it's the year of the (wood) dragon in the Chinese calender🌞🐉

Few notes for this month.

January is almost fully booked with only two/or three appointments remaining if you are wanting to book in.
If you don't already avail of block booking, it is highly recommended to ensure getting a suitable and convenient time for you, for all your appointments. If you would like to block book for the year let me know and we can organise this for you..😀

Currently the next Saturday free is 17th February🙈
Saturdays have exploded, and become super busy and very high demand!
If it's a Saturday you require, I always advise you to get in early and book, or there may not be a space open for when you hoped/desired.

Lastly - there has been approx a 10% price increase as of the beginning of this month on pricing. I empathise a price increase is never people's favourite thing to hear.. it's the first since the start of last year and is keeping inline with rising costs of absolutely everything - and is necessary for me as small business to continue to provide top quality service to your dog. I thank you for your continued support and understanding, and am looking forward to the coming year and serving all your lovely four leggeds🐕💕

There are some exciting announcements to come this year. Keep a wee eye and these will be updated in due course.

Just had to share one of this beautiful man's Christmas snaps! Look👀
Senior gentleman Bear.
And such a gentleman he is.
This guy has arthritis and regardless, still attempts to climb up and down on my table and steps up and down the bath etc.. I have absolutely no problem helping him, he is such a sweetie pie to groom! One of my favourite large dogs🐕

Puppies!!!😍😍😍

One of my regular clients has become a mummy! I've been grooming Meg regularly since she was a puppy herself, and adore the bones of her🥰
Nearly all gone the last remaining few are searching for their forever, loving homes, hopefully in time for Christmas. These puppies are from show lines, fully health tested and credited, registered and viewable on the Kennel Club. Daddy has featured in Deluxe ads and been to Crufts!⭐
(They do require grooming and brushing/coat care guys, as a groomer I feel I have to mention this.lol.)

🐕💅 Nail Maintenance 💅 🐕

Dogs are like humans in that their nails constantly grow.
Their wild ancestors would have naturally worn down their claws whilst running, hunting and scratching + but because our pets spend much of their time indoors or running on soft surfaces, such as lawns, sometimes they get very little wear on the claws..
For very overgrown dog nails, it's advised to clip long nails weekly/fortnightly. This gives the quick (the nerve inside the nail) time to recede toward the paw.
Once your dog's nails are finally at an acceptable length, keep trimming back the nails.
You should have your dog's nails cut every one to two months depending on how fast they grow and how active they are. It's also advised nails should never grow so long that you can hear “clicking” on your floors, however sometimes this occurs and it's ok - the nails are not overgrown or too long.

(Picture of a little dog in who had severely overgrown nails. This is extreme. Never should a dogs nails get to this length. They embed in the pad and can cause all sorts of problems/risk infection.)

Nail clipping can be done as a service while you wait. It requires a pre-booked in advance.

🐕👂 Ear Maintenance 👂🐕

Deep ear cleaning and hair removal service is available as an extra.
This is not suitable for every dog.. nor necessary for every dog.
Flip your dog's ear over and have a look/smell.. If there is black gunk or a strong smell you could perhaps benefit from a deep clean, or hair removal, possibly both.

A lot of dogs benefit from TLC of their paws in between grooms..
Particularly at this time of year when it's wet and mucky outside, this can make a huge difference!
Quick, affordable and efficient, you can wait in the car while it's done.
This is a service offered exclusively to my regularly attending customers and is ideal breeds such as doodles, cockapoos, cavaliers, cocker spaniels, bichons, poodles, lhasas, s**tzus, and such types of mixed breeds.

Hi guys!

Unfortunately last week was a bit of a s**t show with people missing appointments and not paying for my time they have booked. I'm super busy and it's so frustrating that I could have the space filled if only the person would let me know/give reasonable notice.

There were multiple no shows with me still having to chase people for money - which honestly it's really embarrassing even having to do so!

From here onwards, ALL customers not just new ones, will be asked to pay a retainer fee to secure appointments.
If I haven't spoken to you already, you will receive a message or I'll chat with you next time you are in.

Thanks for continued support and understanding from those of you who always are supportive and understanding and pay when you miss, it doesn't go unnoticed and I really do appreciate it.

I always welcome dogs back on to my table, indeed sometimes we groomers loose dogs we love dearly and have groomed for a long time.
There is absolutely nothing personal about my business policies - they are there in place to keep me financially secure as a self employed single mother🙏

Hey guys!

Due to some recent exchange here's a little update on my small business T&C's:

( If you don't like them or feel they are unreasonable, you don't have to use my business/my services...
Bottom line is I rely on my income to pay my bills. If you don't turn up, I don't get paid and I loose out. It's that simple.
If you book my time, miss an appointment or don't give the asked notice, I request you pay for it, and I'm grateful that you do. )

▪️ I require a minimum of 48 hours notice. If you cancel less than 48 hours before your appointment or fail to attend, you will be charged 100% of the fee. If you refuse to own responsibility and not pay me for my time you booked - no further appointments can be booked until the account it settled.

▪️Deposits are required for new dogs booking in. When the deposit is paid the appointment is secure.

▪️If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, I may have to refuse your dog, or not complete their groom as this has a big knock on effect for the rest of the day.
If you miss your appointment due to being late then the above terms apply.
( Yes I will remind you of this when you arrive late.. and if this offends you - perhaps look for a different groomer who doesn't mind people being late.) I'm super busy and work to schedule. Your dog gets my full attention and priority when in my care.

▪️ An estimated pick up time is given and a message usually 20-30 minutes before they are ready. Mostly I am unable to keep your dogs for longer than their appointment. I pride myself on running a 1-1 service especially for my nervous clients. I do my best to help accommodate requirements around this if necessary - and my long termers can vouch for this.
Repeatedly late collection does incur a fee.
