Currently a 2-3week wait for appointments, so please bear this in mind if your pups are needing a spruce up soon.

This sweet girl was found tonight down at the slipway in Dunoon with seemingly no owner around. Anyone recognise her? Gorgeous girl must be missed by someone. She’s safe at our house tonight & will take her to be scanned for a chip & reported tomorrow if needed. Please share & get her home.

Happy New Year to all my lovely friends & clients 🥳 a huge thank you for sticking with me through all the weirdness of 2020, I’m looking forward to seeing you all again, safe & well, in 2021!
As many of you know, I’m off on maternity leave at the moment, but hoping to be back up and running again at some point in the spring. Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing ok and not going too crazy in lockdown. Thought I’d better pop up a wee update as I know lots of you are desperate to get your furry friends smartened up and wondering when this can happen.

At the moment, I am still CLOSED as the advice to businesses in Scotland remains unchanged.

Unfortunately I don’t know when I will be able to re open at the moment, but this page will be updated as soon as I have any concrete information. You will be contacted individually and offered an appointment if you had an appointment scheduled during the lockdown period or are an existing client on the waiting list.

My advice remains the same, please do not attempt to clip your dog (vets are seeing an increase in grooming related injuries right now) just keep brushing as much as possible and if your dog’s welfare has become an issue because of their coat you must get in contact with your Vet.

I wish I had better news, but fingers crossed it won’t be too much longer. Look after yourselves & I’m looking forward to seeing you all in the not too distant future.

Hello pups & pup owners of the Cowal & beyond! I’m delighted to introduce myself and my business to the area. My name is Amanda and Le Château du Chien is a friendly, professional dog grooming service based in Kirn, near Dunoon. I originally started my business back in 2014 in the West End of Glasgow, and spent 5 happy years building great working relationships & friendships with the dogs and owners there. An impending new addition to our family prompted us to relocate to Kirn, and in 2019 our baby boy joined us. I’m now delighted to be getting back to work pampering your furry friends in our new neighbourhood ☺️
All ages, sizes and breeds of dog can be catered for and I work on a one-to-one basis. Services provided include full grooms, personalised styling, hand stripping, puppy packages, top & tails, bath & blow drys and nail clipping.
