Throwback to Millies recent visit!

This little girl is the most recent addition to my puppy package that I offer.

Introducing your dog to the grooming salon at a young age may seem unnecessary and not cost effective but it's an absolutely must in building their confidence, making the whole thing less daunting and will teach them how to behave.

Early introductions include a 'pop in and play' session, a 'splash about' session and a 'tine for a trim' session.

Henry's proud of his new bow 😍

Always brightens my day when it starts with Henry!!!

His coat is super curly but his pup-rents manage it well and have him on a regular 5 week schedule so this gorgeous boy is always matt free!!!

I'm sure you'll agree he has a super cheeky face 😜

Anyone remember this little chap from a few weeks ago?
He had to extremely short but his owners have done a fabulous job of keeping on top of brushing and getting him used to it.
Today he came back for a wash and blow dry and did amazingly!!!
His coat is tangle free and totally manageable and he is now aerodynamic - Speedy Gonzales the 2nd!!!

Beautiful Gordon Setter Ginny came in for a bath and tidy up!

Shes an absolute loon when her dad's here but a diamond for me ❤️

Shes also one of the biggest dogs I groom and those that know me know how much I love big dogs so I was in my element!!

Bobby boy in for a tidy up!

Mum and dad like to keep him fairly long but today was a bit of compromise because Bobby wears a harness and he has a high maintenance coat so we had to go a bit shorted however managed to keep his floofy head 😍😍

Had the gang in today!
These Griffons are such characters (as you can tell by Gus sticking his tongue right out mid photo shoot!!).

It took about 1000098733556 attempts to get these photos then I see him doing that 🤣🤣

Such good little doggies, so well behaved and a delight to have in.

Beautiful Bella!!
This gorgeous pup was unable to get an appointment with her regular groomer and luckily I had a cancellation (doesn't happen often) and fate had it that I was able to help out.

7 months old and full of the joys of life this gentle, happy-go-lucky pup was a delight.!

What a transformation!!!!
This little lad was VERY over due a groom.
De-matting a dog can be painful and stressful for the dog and can sometimes cause injury so it's in the best interest when this is the case to shave the dog down.

I don't know 1 single groomer who likes doing this but needs must sometimes and now we've gone back to basics he's booked in on a regular schedule in order to keep him tangle free and to be able to style him beautifully 😍 🤩

Furbaby love from the past week - Get ready for the cuteness 😍

Max's 1st visit for his puppy intro and as you can see was totally (not) stressed out by it whatsoever!!

A tidy up for our very own Hairy Mclary from Donaldsons dairy - Hugo - such a sweet natured boy!

Marley in for a good de-shed and bath - Chocolate labs do make me go weak at the knees!

And the very cute Oreo in for her 2nd visit and made herself right at home!

I have just met THE happiest dog in the world!!!!

Montys tail did not stop wagging the while time he was here for his handstrip.

The first time I've done a handstrip since training and I loved it throughout training and although seemed a bit daunting at first I loved it today too!!!

Terrier coats are designed to be stripped rather than clipped and it was a joy to tidy up this gorgeous little guy.

He will be back next week for his bath to allow his skin to settle after today's treatment.

Great to see Monty for his first groom of 2024!
This gorgeous boy has come on ineaps and bounds in the year he's been with me.
From a nervous boy scared of the dryer to a confident happy chap sitting with his head tucked into my shoulder whilst I dry him 😍

A floofie Saturday!!

Look how pretty these 3 beauties are 😍

All of then are on regular schedules of between 5 weeks and 8 weeks in order to keep them matt-free and in tip top condition.

All left smelling lovely and feeling super soft!

This little lad is doing amazingly and really proves the benefit of pur puppy introduction package.
This was his 4th visit and he's turned a corner from being nervous in the bath to falling asleep whilst being dried.

After all the world is scary when you're a 15 week old miniature poodle so time, patience lots of cuddles and play is important to make the grooming side of things the least stressful it can be!

This lad is only 7 months old and a bundle of energy!
Mum and dad like to keep him long in coat, Bobby however likes mud and water and everything else that puppies love!!

He has been having monthly baths and comb outs but today was a big step and he had first full clip!!!
Taking him shorter but not too short as mum likes his fluffy coat.
Unfortunately with a long fluffy coat comes lots of hard maintenance work and can prove a huge upkeep so I tried to go middle ground and hoped it would help keep Bobbie matt free!

Luckily mum and dad love his new length, and his harness fits better!!!

My final grooms of 2023 are done!!!
Thank you to all everyone for your continued support as I have navigated a year of change on my job front, learnt to juggle full time work, grooming and running a house with a family of 8!

It's not been an easy year and has had some low moments where I was convinced I was going to walk away but I've held on albeit to a smaller customer base which makes my time easier to manage and a better chance of a family/work life balance.

Here's to 2024 and more of the juggling!!
