I have just read the terrible, tragic news that Georgie Campbell has lost her life in a fall at Bicton Horse Trials. Heartfelt condolences to all who knew her, especially to Jesse. Sending all our love.

The Competition and Markets Authority is going to investigate the veterinary sector (at last). Over half of UK practices are owned by just 6 businesses, reducing choice and focused on profit. There are also questions over pet owners being given informed choice of treatment and pricing transparency

The CMA has today confirmed its decision to launch a market investigation into the veterinary sector and published tips to help pet owners struggling with vet costs now.

I love going to Burghley and Badminton but I think Blair is my new favourite! Such a beautiful setting and a wide range of events to watch, with native breed showing, Pony Club mounted games, show jumping and top class eventing. And great shooping and food!

Thoroughbreds may be expected to race at 2 and warmbloods may be doing quite advanced dressage before they are fully mature. Go slowly and gently!

Look how long it takes for the lower jaw & poll to mature.

We put bits in young mouths & in some cases force their bodies into an outline way before their skeletons have matured.
