Been working on a customers tank this year, he wanted to do a full remodel of the tank so we completely emptied it, cleaned it all up removed all the old rock and sand, we built him a brand new custom rock scape using Marco rock which allows more space for corals, plus lots of swimming space for his fish loads of arches and caves for them to swim through, we will be going back to see it again next week with a couple of new fish and a box load of new corals.

We also Installed a roller filter, to help with maintenance and to help with any fine particles in the water.

We reconfigured his light schedule and PAR tested his tank, so we could get the corals all in the right places to keep them nice and happy.

Really looking forward to seeing this tank mature over the next 12 months 🐠🪸

1 in 6 of us will need intensive care in our lifetimes and it is only with the generous support of individuals like our team of mountaineers that we can continue to support the intensive care community so they can continue to look after the sickest of patients in hospitals.

I'm Luke and I am a physiotherapist with a background of working in Critical Care in the North East of England. My role has recently changed and developed since September 2023 which now sees me working in Emergency Medicine as a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner. While working in Critical Care I was extremely lucky to work with a really supportive, specialist and dynamic team where everyone has our patients at the centre of everything we do. I am taking part in the challenge to help generate the funds to support staff wellbeing across the UK and have a positive impact on the culture of wellbeing and mental health at work.

Luke and the team will be crossing the 57.5km route over 4 days in just over a week's time.

The Patrouille des Glaciers (PDG) is a historic national and international ski mountaineering race organised by the Swiss army. Considered to be one of the toughest courses in the world, the PDG covers a 57.5 km route at altitudes of up to 3,650 metres between Zermatt and Verbier.
