I don’t usually promote the ‘best dog, best bitch’ type shows but this one has some unique classes.

🚨HOLIDAY ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

I will be away and UNCONTACTABLE from Friday 4th to Monday 14th August 2023.

This announcement usually causes a wave of panic appointment requests.
However, I have very very very limited availability, and as usual, I will only respond to any requests, during working hours.

Can I request you adhere to my plea of refraining contact whilst I’m on holiday, I, like everyone else, needs to completely shut off from work commitments and enjoy my break.

This young lady’s preferred stance to be groomed, is the “relaxed laying” stance 🤣

In fact, much easier to get to those little legs than the traditional “standing” stance 🤣

It’s all very well posting great ‘before & after’ images, but that’s not the whole reality of Dog Grooming.

There are cases, many to be honest, where you can’t do a ‘fabulous’ job because an owner wants something that doesn’t show the doggie off at it’s best.

Today was a case in point.

These two long haired GSD’s usually come in for a bath, blow dry and
de-shed, and look stunning when completed.

Today they came in to be clipped off, not something I’d advocate, however, these two will now be much cooler through the summer and their older owner can maintain their full coat growth easier.
They did have this done last summer, not that you could ever tell.

I loved watching this interaction whilst waiting for owners to collect.

I’ve known both woofs for many years, I know their personalities, their behaviour, their likes & dislikes.

The little woof comes in all “I hate this, this is the worst place ever, don’t make me go in there” then rolls on his back for a tummy rub, which shows his submission. He gets groomed then ‘demands’ I throw or kick a ball for him, until he goes home.

The larger woof is incredibly chilled, walks in like she’s walking in to her home, is brilliant on the table and likes a ball thrown when she’s on the floor.

What’s amused me was the body language and communication between these two, both want the ball, but the usually demanding smaller woof is pretty submissive to the larger woof, even though she’s happy to play and share the ball, the smaller woof would rather not share but brings it to me because he loves it being thrown, they worked out their requirements so well.

I love woof communication 🥰

I never name woofs on here for safety/security reasons.
