I have eventually managed to secure a start date for the new classes 💙
I will only be running two new beginner classes at this time so space will be limited! I will run an intermediate within the next block, sorry for any inconvenience.

I’ve got a fair few messages to reply to on the page so please bare with me!
As some of you know I do have a fairly busy life with 3 kids, 2 dogs and 2 jobs and it’s just me running the dog training 💙
Trying to find admin time can be difficult so you will often get messages back at 11pm once I’ve sat down. If you have messaged please don’t send me a fifth message to tell me you’ve sent the previous 4 🤣

Envy proving that we don’t need eye contact when changing from a lie down to a sit ❤️
We do lots of work on listening in class and this is a really important skill to have outwith the classroom! It’s also essential to give your dogs time to think about what we have asked.
Our dogs watch us all the time and if we can split our verbal cues from our hand signals it will build the dog’s understanding of what we are asking!
This in turn will help with focus and listening going forward.

We work a lot on focus and leaving things within the classes!
Here we have Dougal leaving a pile of treats on the floor with a simple “leave” cue from his owner. He is then rewarded with a higher value treat 💙
This skill is really important to have when outside. There are lots of things on a walk we may not want our dogs to eat or touch! If we can teach a consistent “leave” it’ll make walking outdoors on/off lead much less stressful.

Our Intermediate dogs had their final class of the block today! They have all come on leaps and bounds from where they started in the beginner class ❤️

This guy doesn’t need an introduction as you’ve maybe seen him before on the page!
He belongs to one of my lovely colleagues at work and this distance work takes a lot of practice 💙
Week 5 and our beginner dogs were practicing their front paws and back paws onto the step!
We then moved onto trying to have a conversation with one another whilst keeping the pups focus on us!

Excuse my awful counting to ten but how amazing did all of these dogs do!
These owners will be building up the time spent away from their dogs over the next few weeks, gradually being able to leave the room to do simple things like make a cup or tea or nip to the loo ❤️
The difficulty with being at home is our dogs follow us everywhere! This is fine up until the point we have to leave them. Building up our mat work is helping these dogs be happy with the separation and feel more comfortable being on their own.

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the prolonged period of radio silence!
The new class dates are a little bit further out than I’d hoped but this is due to hall availability.
Classes will now be starting on the 1st of October.
I will have a beginner class running at 12.30 and two further intermediate classes starting at 13.45 and 15.00 💙
I will try and get through the list of you all who wanted a space tonight and tomorrow. If you want to message me that’s also ok.
If we have lots of new puppies or beginner dogs there may be space to add another class but that will depend on numbers.

Class update!
Hi everyone, I was due to start a new block of classes on the 16th of July. Unfortunately I won’t be able to start on this date and there will be around a 4 week delay. I am having to have some surgery on the 19th of July so won’t be able to work for a while.
I will be contacting everyone that wanted to attend these classes and rebook you all in for the next block over the coming days.
If you would like to still attend please message me or if you would prefer to find another class I totally understand!

Just a quick update 🐾
I have booked Pathhead hall from the first weekend in July and will be getting in contact with everyone who has expressed and interest in these classes in the next week or so!

Last night we also seen the end of the two classes for the beginners too!
The difference in each and every single dog from week one until now is amazing. They’ve all done so well!

We were missing a few faces but I’ll hopefully see them soon to get their certificates to them.

This lovely boy is Bernie!
He’s 10 months old and is very strong on lead. His owners had been struggling with pulling and he had started to injure his poor owner’s shoulder.
We started some training today and this video was taken nearing the end of our session today! The difference was amazing.
Lots of work to be done but hopefully he and his owners will have some nicer walks soon and start enjoying them more 💙

🐾 Baby News! 🐾 I know lots of you had asked for me to pop a wee post on when madam decided to arrive! Aubrey arrived 3 weeks early at exactly 37 weeks weighing in at 6lb 1oz ❤️ As you can see Arlo and Bruar are happy to have her home after having to spend a little bit of time in the nicu for supportive care! Xx
Bruar loves a toy! Here he has made up his own game putting the toy onto the swing and hitting it off 💙 Post a video or photo of your dog doing something a little out of the ordinary!

In our Intermediate class today the dogs were learning to follow cues while behind their owners! Here we have the lovely Kip showing us how it’s done 💙
Some of the intermediate dogs practicing their mat training. We have a mixture of adolescent and rescue dogs here able to be left in their safe place whilst their owners leave them for a few seconds. You can see the practice they have all be doing at home! Well done 💙
Ozzy 💙 We were building up confidence within the dogs in class on Sunday by leaving them either in a sit or a lie down. Our dogs are so used to looking at us at all times that some struggle to stay when we turn away from them. Building this is up slowly helps with not only their confidence but ours too! Well done Ozzy!
Hamish 💙 I would love to say Hamish did an amazing lie down stay at class today but the reality of this video was he actually couldn’t be bothered to get up! Such a lovely boy! Does what he wants when he wants but what’s not to love 💙
