Argie, a flock of sheep and a pear
Today, we worked on those pesky sheep!
Seems pears are way more important!
Watch to the end....
Speeded up as this is a slow process but important to help Argento not find the sheep interesting.. we started with the ladies a half a field away and moving, I am sure they will get closer in time!
And after a weigh in at our vet, he is on a diet! 36.4kg indeed 🫣
New field, new things to observe. Mika knows its deer field though!
Mika loves a catch but Argie hasn't got that skill, so letting him get it from the ground is still an option.
We moved to feeding from hand to reward his disengagement (and in time reinforce that good things happen with me).
No hurry, just taking his time and we will be playing lots more 'see it' this weekend with the sheepy mehs!
Some of todays learning for Argento, with Mika assisting (or is that hindering??)

Not sure why this wee video didn't load in full.. check that enthusiastic jump up!
Argento: turns
Argento practicing the little things on our morning walk around squirrels... a nice loose lead and some turns on cue.
No food rewards as he isn't that interested around squirrels, but he was still able to follow a cue..and his reward? To go sniff where the squirrels were!
Not best video as I just captured an opportunity (now where else do I do that?)

A day in Argento's diary....
Rosie - go round
A wee catch up with Rosie and her family to help with some teenager support.
We started by gathering everyones view on where they were in their relationahip with both Rosie and Cassie.
We discussed what issues they were having and we started a plan to help everyone sing from the same song sheet.
We ended our session with some fun, teaching the dogs to go around objects will come in useful on walks to keep engagement, give them a fun job to do, and help the hoomans have fun too!
Argie and the blackcurrants
What do you do when the raspberries are gone?
Move to the blackcurrents of course!
Argie loves his fruit! What's your dogs favourite fruit (or veg)?
Brilliant weekend in collaboration with Jack Fenton - Dorset Dog Trainer who came up to Scotland to share his Sniff to Safety workshop.
Lovely to see all the reactive, shy, fizzy dogs progress over the 2 days and their families build on their skills to help everyone cope on their walks - and at home.
Sure we will be seeing Jack again!
Well done everyone, it was lovely to be on the other side observing!
Lazing on a sunny afternoon!
Mika and Argie had some garden time as it was just too hot to be out walking today.
