💙 MEET OUR TEAM - NIKKI 💙

Nikki is our Practice Manager for all 3 of our East Sussex surgeries and has been a ray of sunshine in all our lives for almost 4 years. Having been in the veterinary industry for nearly 10 years, Nikki has used all experience gained to create a supportive and nurturing work environment for the team, as well as a welcoming, hospitable setting for clients & their furry friends. Paired with her high standards for efficiency and diligence, Nikki’s persistent hard work, both alongside us and behind the scenes, ensures everything runs smoothly around the clock. Nikki is incredibly hardworking; overseeing everything from optimal workplace culture, quality client care, diary management and educational development for the whole team, to business acumen, financial analytics, strategic initiatives and consistently emulating empowering visionary leadership. When Nikki is not out visiting our surgeries, we know her door is always open (& her precious pup Gracie always appreciates a cuddle). We are all so grateful for everything she does – her strength and compassion is admired by us all - we'd be truly lost without her!

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - ETIENNE 💙

As our longest-standing Veterinary Surgeon on the team, Etienne has been part of DVG for 17 years! Etienne is a commendable 30 years MRCVS qualified and has been based at the Stone Cross practice throughout his career at DVG. During this time Etienne has been part of the Stone Cross growth, as it has changed to a busy consulting-only practice, developing from one to two consultation rooms. Etienne loves his patients and becomes very attached, he has built a loyal client base at the practice with mutual trust & respect which is both humbling and a privilege for him. Etienne's role nowadays is consultations, with a particular interest in ophthalmology.

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - CASEY 💙

Our newest full-time Veterinary Surgeon is Casey who joined the DVG team 10 months ago. You'll find Casey primarily at Hailsham practice but also at Stone Cross one afternoon a week & Goffs one morning a week too. As a graduate, Casey is frequently discussing clinical approaches with her colleagues, sharing her modern-day knowledge whilst also learning from the team around her. Casey's determination and desire to provide gold-standard care for every patient that walks through the door is admirable and we love her for it! Casey is totally cherished by the team, as she pours her heart & soul into her role, and is looking forward to building more meaningful relationships with our clients as time goes on.

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - AMY 💙

Amy is our super-efficient full-time Veterinary Surgeon based primarily at our Goffs practice (although you'll find Amy at our Hailsham practice one afternoon a week too). Amy is 5 years MRCVS qualified and joined the DVG team over 3 years ago. During this time Amy has worked most closely with Mirja and has developed greatly in experience, knowledge & confidence. Amy is now offering her support & coaching to our newest Veterinary Surgeon Casey as her VetGDP Advisor. Amy's daily role is split between consultations, surgery and diagnostics, as well as being our ASP representative to monitor our antibiotic usage across the practices. Amy is always striving for development in being the best Vet she can be for our patients & clients, who knows what additional services we will be delivering in the coming future with Amy.. Watch this space!

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - VICTOR 💙

Victor is one of our full-time Veterinary Surgeons, based primarily at Hailsham practice 4 days a week. Victor has been part of the DVG team for 10.5 years, as he joined when it was the former practice named Foreman and Hanna. Victor has adapted to many practice changes over the years, including a change of practice name, new team members, updated facilities, newer equipment and a move from Market Street to Station Road; Victor has taken it all in his stride! Victor has remained fiercely loyal to his Hailsham clients and team, and is proud to be a key part of the practice development. As 18 years MRCVS qualified, Victor has seen hundreds of diverse cases over the years and enjoys his continuous learning on new medicine and approaches. In a typical week Victor's role is split between consultations, surgery and diagnostics, as well as preparing any required animal health certificates for Hailsham clients.

🐱 IT IS NOW LEGAL TO MICROCHIP YOUR CAT 🐱

The new law came into action on June 10th for all cats to be microchipped. Book in ASAP in order to avoid a fine! Chips really can save lives, and ensure they will always come home where they belong 🩷

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - MIRJA 💙

As one of our most experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Mirja is based primarily at our Goffs practice 3 days a week. Mirja is 27 years MRCVS qualified and has been part of the DVG team for nearly 4 years. Mirja is always wanting to offer the absolute best service she can for her patients & clients, and ensures that each of her cases is assessed most throughly, with all options explored. Mirja has no idea how wonderful she is; she is a firm favourite with the whole team and totally trusted by her patients! Mirja's role is split between consultations, surgery and diagnostics. In addition, Mirja prepares any required animal health certificates for Goffs clients and is always on hand to support her fellow Vets (even on her days off!) What would we do without you??

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - BEATRIZ 💙

Bea is one of our Veterinary Surgeons who is based primarily at Stone Cross practice 4 days a week. Bea has been MRCVS qualified nearly 12 years, part of the DVG team for 8.5 years and worked across all of our surgeries at some point during her career (including the old Hampden Park site). Bea is recognised for her warm, smiley, positive persona and is utterly adored by both her patients and our team! Bea's role is focused on internal medicine and ultrasonography, with Stone Cross being our consulting-only practice. Bea cares so much for her patients, falling in love with each and every one, going above & beyond ALWAYS.

Nikki is our Head Veterinary Surgeon based primarily at Hailsham practice 3 days a week, where her role is split between consultations, surgery and clinical leadership. Nikki has been MRCVS qualified nearly 11 years and part of the DVG team for 2 years. Nikki is very passionate about the veterinary care she provides as a Vet and that we provide as a team, and is continuously striving for better; she advocates the most important aspect of her role is ensuring our patients receive the gold-standard care they absolutely deserve! Nikki has a keen interest in advancing her skills even further in internal medicine and emergency & critical care, as she often undertakes additional veterinary work at our out-of-hours provider Vets Now in Eastbourne on a Saturday or Sunday, where she is faced with a range of critical cases.

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - KIM 💙

As one of our longest-standing members, our Administrator Kim has been part of the team for 21 years! You may recognise Kim for being a VCA for majority of these years at Goffs surgery, covering all areas of the practice from reception to nursing to accounts to surgery, Kim was part of the former practice named Foreman & Hanna. Over the past two years Kim has instead become our Administrator based at Hailsham surgery 3 days a week, handling our accounts, liaising with charities, overseeing stock control, managing the banking and always knowing the answer to all our questions! Kim fell into veterinary all those years ago and loved it so much that she never wanted to leave. Kim enjoys her newer office-based role however is always willing to help out the team on reception or nursing support whenever needed. Annually Kim arranges to attend a local primary school with one of our Nurses to give a talk to the children about veterinary, this has been repeated over the past three years and the children love it!

Please welcome our newest member of the team - Emily! Emily joined us only two weeks ago as one of our full-time Veterinary Care Assistants. Emily has ample experience in veterinary, having worked at PDSA for the past 18 months, and with her gentle, smiley persona it is a pleasure to have her onboard. Emily thrives in a busy environment and is aspiring to become a supportive, valued team member. Emily ideally wants to progress into vet nursing so shall be looking to study the L2 VCA apprenticeship and then the L3 student veterinary nursing in the near future. Emily is ready to be a flexible team member to support both the front-of-house & clinical teams as necessary. Emily most enjoys being involved in patient care tasks and is looking forward to learning all practice protocols, systems & equipment in the coming months.

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - KAT 💙

Kat is one of our Veterinary Care Assistants who has been part of the team for 4.5 years. Kat thoroughly enjoys her role splitting her time between client care at reception and patient care with the vets & nurses. Kat understands her role is the most flexible and ensures she is supportive of both the front-of-house team & the clinical team, being available to where she is most needed. Kat has always loved animals so mostly enjoys her involvement in clinical tasks, comforting our patients and monitoring their needs. Keen to continue learning, Kat has previously studied Animal Care L2, Animal Management L3, Veterinary Assistant diploma and is currently undertaking VCA Development training. Kat has grown greatly in confidence over the years and would love to continue this by expanding her veterinary knowledge and starting her own clinics.

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - JAMES 💙

James joined the team 5 years ago as a Veterinary Care Assistant and is now typically based at Stone Cross surgery 3 days a week. Over the years James has increased his weekly hours and has become a competent, responsible & reliable VCA. James enjoys the variation in his role, delivering a high standard of client care front-of-house, supporting the vets in consults, as well as developing his patient care skills. Recently, with support from our Lead Clinical Coach Nicola, James has strengthened his clinical skills to be able to offer his own clinics at Stone Cross surgery which is wonderful progression! Previously, James accomplished L2 Animal Care and L3 Animal Management, and is open to continue his learning in areas such as pet nutrition and compassionate care.

Emily is one of our full-time Veterinary Care Assistants who has been part of the team for 2 years. Emily joined originally as our Hailsham receptionist but after 18 months decided she would like to develop as a VCA and look to progress into a vet nursing career. With support from her coach Laura, Emily is currently studying the L2 VCA apprenticeship, and plans to become a L3 student vet nurse later next year. At Hailsham surgery, Emily manages insurance claims and fire safety checks for the site, alongside being a supportive member to both the front-of-house team and clinical team throughout each week. Developing her clinical skills and broadening her knowledge has given Emily more confidence and a sense of accomplishment, Emily is thriving! Emily is greatly motivated by supporting her colleagues and her contribution, reliability & flexibility is so valued that she has become a key member of the team.

💙 MEET OUR TEAM - LARA 💙

Lara is our full-time Veterinary Receptionist for our Goffs surgery, after she joined the team just over 2 years ago. Lara enjoys being the main member of the front-of-house team overseeing the daily running of reception, keeping on top of administrative tasks and dispensary management. Lara is motivated greatly by the team around her and seeing the time & care devoted to treating our patients gives her the satisfaction to know she's in the most caring profession and our patients are in the best hands. Lara very easily falls in love with patients, especially felines, and if she could keep them all she definitely would! Over the past 2 years Lara has learnt a lot about veterinary and wants to continue developing her understanding. With this Lara has recently enrolled onto the BVRA membership to develop her Veterinary Receptionist knowledge and is looking to undertake the Foundation Course - Companion Animals over the next six months.
