‼️ Van Update‼️

Thank you to my customers who have been patient whilst my van has been in the garage last week.

The side door was jamming shut and couldn’t be opened, but only for me and working fine for my mechanic so it’s been a difficult one to diagnose and has taken time to try a couple of fixes. However, it is now working well🙏.

I will be in touch with everyone I had to postpone, later today to rebook. My apologies for the delay.

NEW PHONE NUMBER☎️📞

Hi,

I have still not been able to resolve my phone issues and get my original number back, despite visiting the Three store to try and get help from a real human😞.

I have given up on the hope of trying to retain my number and have now changed mobile phone providers and now have a new number

I will send this out, via text to existing customers and will also set up a new WhatsApp account with this number over the next few days.

As I have been without a fully functioning number since 5th May, please assume I haven’t received any messages or texts since then.

UPDATE ON PHONE

I wanted to give you all an update on my mobile number. It was taken by fraudsters on 5th May and I’m still trying to get the number back. My provider Three, gave the package code out. My number was then used to try to clear my bank accounts. Luckily, my bank takes secure more seriously than Three. Although I did have to visit my bank to sort everything out.

I did have a temporary number but my provider has now blocked this, saying I have my original number back. I don’t 😤. I have spent many hours on the phone trying to sort this. I will let you know once I have. In the meantime, the best way to message me is via Messenger for now.

I am currently on holiday until until Tuesday so will answer messages then.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

I have had my mobile number cloned or stolen, I’m not sure which and I’m trying to sort it out with my provider.

This means I do not have access to phone calls, messages or voicemails etc, nor WhatsApp.

Whoever has done it has done it for criminal purposes so please do not try to contact that number for the time being. I will update on here when I know more.

I have cancelled all grooms booked for today and tomorrow due to the hot weather and contacted everyone to reschedule appointments.

Thank you everyone for understanding and changing appointments and thank you to those that have changed their appointment times so that I could rebook the cancelled dogs without to much delay.

Wyllow and I are now hiding from the sun with curtains closed and fans on. Now to explain to Wyllow 'lie ON the cool mat, not next to it'😅.

Primarily for our Studley shop within the Les Topham Garden Centre, B80 7DF. 2 days per week Tuesday - Sunday.

This is a busy role which includes:

Serving customers
Unpacking deliveries
Working in a cold room
Handling cash
All general shop duties

Must have knowledge of raw food.

More hours available. £10 per hour.

Just recently I have been trawling the rescue sites looking for a new dog and one thing that I have become very aware of is how so many rescues are not showing the dogs to their full potential! ☹️

I'm sure you all know the saying, "a picture paints a thousand words" and despite so many of these dogs being absolutely amazing they are sat in rescue waiting to find a home and all because they 'don't look the part'.

Now I get it, not everyone is a whizz with a camera - (just as well otherwise I'd be out of a job!) so what I'd like to do is to offer my services for free to any local charities who need some up to date images of their rescue dogs. Just drop me a line and I'll sort something out.

Just to give you an idea of how an image can show a dog in it's best light I took two very quick images of Hector this afternoon using my phone. These images are seconds apart and I've just changed the setting on my camera phone with a quick tap from photo to portrait.

Now, which one do you think would get him a home? (NB he's obviously not up for rehoming! 😆)

Feel free to tag any local rescues who could use my help.

***Oh and if anyone knows of a young (max. 3 years old) collie bitch looking for a home then give me a shout***

I’ve decided to close for today for safety.

The roads by me are awful, even the main roads, with reports of cars skidding\struggling etc on local groups.

I would rather keep my van safely on my driveway than risk an accident and being off the road for weeks.

We’ve had a lot of snow today and it’s still falling. If the temperature does drop to -4 as predicted, the roads will be treacherous. I may need to reschedule tomorrow’s appointments i will see what it’s like In the morning to decide and get in touch with those affected as soon as I can.

Following the announcement this evening regarding a further lockdown, I will remain open once again.

All current booked appointments will stand. Please be honest and contact me if you or anyone in your household has tested positive (or have symptoms) for Covid 19 to reschedule. The more notice I have the easier it will be to reschedule your dog promptly.

I am aware of conflicting views over fireworks, but I was surprised at how intense this became on Social Media in recent days.

I would be grateful if you were to complete this survey so that I may gain as wide perspective as possible on the use of fireworks. Thank you.

Since the surveys launch over 2.4 million people have viewed it and nearly 100,000 responded to the survey.

I have been really encouraged by the participation in the survey, which is helping me get a better understanding of people’s views on fireworks.

The survey is now closed to new entries. I am now working on processing the data and looking to build an expert panel to analyse the findings to help find a solution.
