My first week this week of not having Ginny (the Ginster) to walk 😞 she has moved to pastures new having been walked by myself and some of the gang for the last couple of years.
Ginny, you are such a lovable character and you made a big dent in my ❤️ I have loved walking you, even though you kept me on my toes a lot of the time!!! 😂 I will miss you talking to yourself in the back of the van, always made me giggle!! 🤭😂😂 but most of all I will miss you greeting me when I picked you up and having our kisses and cuddles when dropping you home 🥰
Enjoy your new home and I hope you have lots of fun on your new adventures!! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

CANINE ENRICHMENT-: FORAGING FOR FOOD

Some of you will know this is my wee Border Terrier who puts a great big smile on my face everyday. For all he’s not the “best behaved dog” in the world (we are working together on that one) he still means the world to me and I want to do my best by him. Hector likes a challenge and is quite a clever wee dog so when it comes to meal time’s at least once a day I don’t feed him from his bowl and give him various tasks to do in order to get his breakfast. He LOVES THESE CHALLENGES and gets so excited when I do these games rather than just putting a bowl of food in front of him. This Challenge is much easier if you feed your dog dry food so won’t suit everybody, but there are plenty of similar things you can do or buy if you feed wet to make your dogs meal times more enriching for them. As you can see from the clip I have used a dog towel almost like a snuffle mat and made little pockets in the towel putting small amounts of kibble in them and folding it up so he has to rummage and sniff through it to find the food. I have also used a empty loo roll and popped kibble inside and folded the ends up and wrapped that into the towel also. This game of “find the food” lasted for a good 10-15 mins in all, rather than a couple of minutes in a bowl. So if your dog seems less interested in his/her food give this a go! You never know they may start to enjoy their meal times again 🤗😋 plus it’s a fun thing to do for them! 👍🏻 Sorry about the voice over 🤦‍♀️😬🥴😂
