When you see your dog having a seizure, this is understandably very distressing! 🐕🐾 In a second, they are ok, and the next, they seem to have lost control of their body.
This is most often caused by idiopathic canine epilepsy, which means we don't what's causing the seizures. However, prompt treatment should be sought, as repetitive seizure activity might become an emergency. Please call us as soon as you suspect or see that your pet has had a seizure!

What pet insurance can mean for you and your pet. 🩺
It truly is a privilege to own and care for a pet. However, you must consider the different costs when becoming a pet owner.
Even when you have everything planned and budgeted, you cannot predict the future and any unexpected veterinary or pet-related costs that might arise.
Unneutered female dogs are at risk of womb infections due to the hormones produced during their normal reproductive cycle ♀️ 🐕
This is one of the reasons why we recommend that owners always consider neutering their pets, unless they are planning on breeding!
If your pet isn’t neutered, keep an eye out for the signs in our video, and call us if you have any concerns. 📲
Our golden oldies might start slowing down as the years go by but don’t chalk this up to old age!
Talk to us, and together we can find the best treatment plan to help your pet remain pain-free and mobile for as long as possible 📲
We often get this question: Should I bathe my bunny regularly? 🤔 The answer may surprise you!
Check out our video to know more about the bathing habits of our lovely rabbits and how you can keep your bunnies clean, healthy and stress-free.
Have you heard of feline idiopathic cystitis? Check out our reels, and get in touch with us if you spot any of these signs on your cat. 😺
If you ever notice that your cat cannot urinate or is straining to pee and nothing comes out, this is a medical emergency, and you should bring them in right away.
If you’ve ever adopted a puppy, you’ve probably heard of canine parvovirus. This illness can be life-threatening in puppies and is one of the diseases that vaccinations protect against. 💉
Check out our video, and get in touch right away if you spot these signs on your puppy!

HAY HAY ! Learn about a healthy rabbit diet here!
#Rabbitawarenessweek 🐰🐇🌱
Brownie loves his grub. In our quest to talk about rabbit awareness week and keep all keen rabbit lovers informed, here we are again: talking FOOD. 🥒🥕🥦🍓🫑🍎🌱
Rabbits have complex needs and require lots of fibre, vitamins and minerals to keep healthy ✨
Rabbits are herbivores - a key part of their diet is hay and LOTS of it 😍 a good quality, dust free hay or grass is best 👌🏼
Feeding amounts for rabbits:
🐰85-90% good quality hay
🐰small amount of pellets/nuggets about 1 egg cup twice a day
🐰A handful of fresh veg
It is also very important rabbits have access to fresh water at all times! 💦

RABBITS NEED SPACE TO HOP!
#Rabbitawarenessweek 🐰🐇🌱
Brownie, Liz and Tara chat about housing and environment today for Rabbit Awareness Week. Have a listen and learn what they need to be happy, healthy and happy!
The minimum recommended space for two bonded rabbits is 3m x 2m x 1m high, meaning a lot of the hutches sold at pet shops are nowhere near big enough🫣
Rabbits are very inquisitive and intelligent animals, so require lots of space they can explore enabling them to have a full and happy life with lots of mental stimulation ❤️
Without adequate space to exercise, rabbits can be prone to becoming overweight and get problems with their joints 😔
Ideas for housing bunnies:
OUTDOORS:
🐰Garden shed
🐰Rabbit hutch with a run permanently attached via tunnels
🐰Converted aviary
🐰Converted Wendy house
INDOORS:
🐰Full run of the house
🐰Whole run of a room
🐰Section of a room -baby gates /chicken wire can be used to section
🐰puppy pens/large dog crates attached with tunnels

NEUTERING
Continuing in our support of Rabbit Awareness Week, here we are again with bunny Brownie!🤎
Today we chat about neutering which is very important for our pet rabbits🐰❤️
Neutering male and female rabbits is very important! Females can have an 80% chance of developing cancer of the uterus by the age of 5 years old 😣 neutering would completely stop this happening!
Male and female rabbits can be more aggressive if left un neutered and it can be a lot harder to bond a pair together 🐰❌🐰
If you are pairing a male and female together and getting the male neutered, just be aware they can still get the female pregnant up to 6 WEEKS after being castrated 😱😱😱 keeping the separated by chicken wire during this time means they are still able to see and smell each other keeping their bond strong🥰
