Another one from lovely customer Mel (thank you again Mel!).
She has a couple of Eqco bridle bags and shows us in this video how she puts her bridle in the bridle bag and secures it.
I actually double the reins up with mine and put them through the hook at the top next to the headpiece, but different strokes for different folks!
Which colour would you choose if you could have any for a bridle bag?
Hi guys!
Who fancies some free ice to keep cool this weekend? OBVIOUSLY I mean a FREEEEEE In Case of Emergency tag (see https://shorturl.at/qrRV9).
Spend £50 or more, add the one-side 25mm ICE tag to your basket (worth £13.49) and use code FREEICE at the checkout stage.
If you want a fancier ICE tag, choose the option you would like and just pay the difference.
Oh! And in case you were wondering - that's our new phone number on the black ICE tag in the video. Give us a ring for a chat or to order some stuff. It's 0333 090 3636
Today I learned a lot. First, £6 selfie sticks don't hold phones at speed. Second, my horse is MUCH taller than I realised. And that there is absolutely no way I can ever get on from the ground, even if my life depended on it.
Hi guys!
Today we sampled a new style of saddle cover with a faux leather outer and faux sheepskin lining. This one was in black with white embroidery and matching white piping around the cantle panel.
The video shows the outer fabric cutting out stage (very sped up).
Differing from the 'normal' saddle cover style we make and sell, this new one has elastic binding around the edge rather than a channel with elastic going through and toggles.
I'd love to know your thoughts on the style, materials and preferred colours for embroidery and piping (gold, silver and white tend to be the most popular). Also sheepskin lining colour.
When we take these into production, the faux leather will be in black and navy (other colours can be ordered for customised/bespoke orders).
Look forward to hearing your thoughts and thank you in advance!
Big love

***Exciting new partnership launch announcement!***
For the last few weeks, I've been working behind the scenes with the amazing Alessandra of Alessandra Grace Dressage.
Eqco and Alessandra are going to be joining forces to create videos and photos to show you all the lovely existing and new products at Alessandra's incredibly beautiful yard with her exceptional dressage horses.
This is just a quick launch announcement video to give you a flavour of what's to come. Sadly I couldn't get the music I diligently added to play without distortion but will hopefully get that sorted in time for the next video!
Big love
Jess
Monday embroidery simulation for you…
Here’s a video showing part of the process for making a riding skirt. Before being sped up, this stage takes about an hour. There’s also the measuring and cutting out of outer and lining fabric plus velcro, elastics and making the leg straps plus sewing on label, binding the edges and then packing up to send out.
Saddle cover embroidery for Tom Reilly Showjumping (can’t get the cursed link to work for some reason).
Really hope I’m not tempting fate with this post as I’ve had such rotten luck getting somewhere for the business.
All being well, I’m moving into this new space next week! Had no idea how much legal rigmarole there was with renting a commercial space before! And the costs. Gahhhh!!!!
What would you like to see on the walls?
My lovely customer and friend Wonderhorse Dressage decided to have a logo made and we’re going to make her loads of lovely embroidered things. We ordered custom embroidery threads in and got some bespoke logo digitising done in lots of different sizes to feed her ombré colour scheme in.
Today I ran the first sample for her and LOVE it.
She’s going to tweak the colours potentially but watch this space to see all the fabulous products we make for her with this gorgeous logo embroidered on.
After only, oooh about seven years, I have learned how to stick two videos together on an iPhone.
So here’s your soothing Monday mellow embroidery simulation video (featuring Bay Saddlery) followed by a slightly less soothing actual embroidery sampling snippet.
My lovely customer Melanie is much better at social media than me and generously shared this video with me to post here. This is the saddle cover I made for her.
Hi gang
Going to do an embroidery sample on the bridle bag. Which position do you think would look best?
Lovely relaxing embroidery simulation to help us get through the end of the first week back.
Hi gang! Hope you’ve all had and are having lovely Christmasses.
Exciting news this end: I’m finally leaving the home office and taking on my first commercial unit!
