Congratulations to FTCh Mitforton Onour who won the Eastern Counties Retriever Society 2 day Open Stake last week qualifying her for her 3rd time at the IGL’s. On Friday they were awarded:
The Delaval Astley Memorial Cup for the winner of the stake
The Kilderkin Trophy for the best retrieve of the trial
The Snapehill Dan Trophy to the best dog bred, trained and handled by its owner

. . . Unfortunately the end of summer means we once again have to be prepared for the return of the colder / wetter months.

David (one of our regular customers) wasn't convinced they were any different to using an 'old' towel . . . until he tried them himself
. . here is what he said:

"These are amazing, so much that I have to review them. I was a sceptic on them.

I got a pack when they first came out a couple of years ago. I thought these are not up to much and they have just sat in a drawer. Went to Scone Game Fair last month picked up some oil and was kindly given a pack of these. Again just popped them in my dog drawer in van. We went out and one of my younger dogs had tipped the water bowl up pouring it all out soaking the two crates. No way to get that out the van. I laid a towel down in each side, whilst we took the dogs for a work, not expecting much when we got back.

Well shame on me. They had soaked up all the water even the worst side. Was shocked at how much they had soaked up. The less wet towel I could even use on the dogs to rub down before they got back in.

They were then really easy to clean just by rinsing in the sink and dried really quickly too. I have always used normal old towels for dogs but then you are left with a heavy soggy lump of towel. Not with these.
