We offer the Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER) hearing test. This is a completely objective, unequivocal way of assessing a pet's hearing ability. Additionally, if you're a breeder, we can test your whole litter so you know if any of your puppies has a problem 🐾

Bella's recovery
Brain surgery gives Bichon Frise a new future🐾💚
A dog with a brain tumour causing loss of balance and movement has made a good recovery following surgery at Davies Veterinary Specialists🩺
Alex Forward, who is a Neurologist at Davies performed an MRI scan and revealed a large tumour in Bella’s brain.
“We spoke to Bella’s owner about the options and after careful consideration, she elected for surgery to remove the tumour,” explained Alex.
Andrea Wadey, Bella's owner, said “Thank you so much to Alex who carried out the surgery and gave Bella Rose a new lease of life and to everyone who looked after Bella, we will forever be grateful.”

We’re here for when detective work is required to establish a diagnosis. Once we understand your pet’s illness we can then discuss options and tailor a treatment plan to your pet’s individual needs.
Typically, after an initial consultation, a patient will be admitted for further investigation such as blood tests, radiographs, ultrasound or endoscopy. After the tests, unless immediate additional treatment is needed, animals may go home to await results. Sometimes, if a patient is found to have a non-medical disease and, for example, needs surgery or cancer treatment, they may be transferred to another team within the hospital.
Our Internal Medicine team are happy to discuss cases over the telephone with veterinary colleagues, but are unable to discuss cases with owners prior to a formal consultation.
