Are you aware of blue-green algae?

What you need to know:

⚠️ Blue-green algae are tiny bacteria found in still, nutrient-rich water.

⚠️ They produce toxins harmful to dogs; about half of exposed dogs die.

⚠️ Most poisonings occur from drinking or swimming in freshwater lakes and ponds.
Symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, muscle tremors, and seizures can appear within an hour.

⚠️ Prevent poisoning by avoiding risky areas, checking algae warnings, and rinsing dogs after swimming.

It's BBQ season! 🍔🌭To make sure your pets stay safe, take a look at some of our top tips; - Keep the flame in a safe place by making sure the BBQ is secure. Keep it on a flat area where it’s less likely to fall over. 🔥 -BBQs take hours to cool down. If you’re letting them into the garden, make sure they’re supervised at all times 🌡 -Make sure that your pet has access to clean drinking water. We recommend placing their bowl in a shaded area – far away from the BBQ and the foods/accessories that come with it. 💧 -Greasy, under/overcooked meats can upset your dog’s stomach or even cause pancreatitis. Corn on the cob can cause a blockage in their digestive system. 🍗🥩

📣 MANOR POINT BUSINESS PARK UPDATE📣 As you may be aware the land opposite the surgery is currently under development. Unfortunately the boundary line falls across our parking spaces at the front of the surgery and we have been unable to obtain this small strip of land. On Saturday (31/10/2020), there will be major roadworks as they re tarmac this area up to the white line (by the flashing arrows) to create a wider pavement. We have been assured that clients will be able to drive around the works and park on our car park at the side of the building. However, to avoid the enivitabe chaos you may wish to collect food or meds this evening or on Monday. Thank you all again for your understanding. CheshirePet 💚
