Join the JVC gang this Sunday 14th April for Pet Nose Day at the beautiful Mount Stewart!

Catch up with our vets, nurses and receptionists who will be there to chat to you about anything and everything animal related 🐾

From neutering to nutrition, weight management to first aid, CT scans to insurance, we will be there all day to help with any questions you may have 😊

We will keep our fingers crossed for good weather, but even if the weather isn’t kind…. We’ll be there with our big coats 😉

🐾 Boarding Availability 2024🐾

Please be advised that we are FULLY BOOKED for June, July, August & September, and ALSO every weekend from now until the end of September with wait lists in operation.

The waiting list operates simply by allocating available kennel space from a cancelled booking to those customers on the list whose dates fit best, working in sequential order. We have no idea of when & what dates may become available, however be assured that our Team work quickly to fill spaces as soon as they arise. Unfortunately this availability may often come too late as alternative care arrangements for your pet have had to be made.

If you have asked for a place on our waiting list and subsequently make other arrangements for your pet please let us know (by emailing [email protected]) so that we may update our records and offer availability to the next customer.

Dear Customer,

🐾 Notice of Boarding Rate Increase 🐾
1st April 2024

We wish to advise customers that our boarding rates will rise on 1st April 2024 (in accordance with our annual Boarding Rate Review, which takes into account annual increases in external and inflationary costs).

• From 1st April 2024 the daily boarding rate will rise to £26.50 per day, with a discount of 15% for 2 or more dogs sharing;

• Long stays ie more than 30 days shall continue to be discounted at 10%.

We trust that you understand these changes are necessary to provide you and your pet with the quality of service and care that you have come to expect from the team at Whinney Hill Kennels.

👉 Important Vaccination Reminder 👈

With the holiday season well and truly upon us can we ask that you double check that your pet's vaccinations are in date as we CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR DOG TO STAY WITH US if they aren't. This means you will need to find alternative arrangements just as you are about to leave for your holiday - a very stressful situation indeed!

Please bring your pet's vaccination records when checking in so we can update our records if needed.

A Little Appreciation

Last week Whinney Hill Kennels lost one of our most dedicated team dogs, Little, who has been Emma’s constant companion at work & play come rain, hail or shine. As a stray wandering the roads around Craigantlet 13 years ago, Little found her way into Emma’s life and together they embarked on some mighty adventures. Be it yoga, 365 days of sea swimming, running, hiking or as Emma’s muse, Emma and Little were inseparable.

She will be greatly missed by us all at the Kennels, where she kept us, Bert and our boarders in line.
