We are experiencing IT difficulties at our HUDDERSFIELD SURGERY, we currently have no telephone and computer systems at present.

Please bear with us until our services are restored, staff at the HALIFAX Surgery will do everything they can to assist you with your enquiries.

In the meantime, we ask for kindness towards staff during the disruptions.

✨ Positivity Post Alert! ✨

We have had some lovely things happen at West Mount recently that we'd love to share with our lovely clients and followers 🥰

Firstly we'd love to congratulate Chloe S on passing all her exams and practical examinations and becoming our most recent Registered Veterinary Nurse 💚

Another big congratulations to Gina P, also passing all her exams and practicals and achieving her certificate, becoming a Animal Care and Welfare Assistant 💜

Next up is a massive round of applause to Becky and Celeste on completing the Keighley Sue Ryder 10km charity Run (which was apparently more like a tough mudder experience 😅🏃‍♀️), raising awareness and funds for an amazing charity ❤️

Humphrey Christopher is at it again with his bravery and willingness to help others! Humph and his mummy Ginny completed Happydays UK Big 10 walk last Saturday. Looking rather dashing in his t-shirt 😘

Lastly, we now have a food collection point at our Halifax branch, collecting vital supplies for Happy Days UK charity, which will be used within our community. We welcome all our clients and community to pop in and see our lovely Halifax reception team, and donate any food items into this bin 🧡

We hope you enjoyed seeing a small snapshot of our team being community champions, raising awareness and funds for various charities and generally being awesome people! 🙌

We are looking for the owner of a cat brought into us yesterday.
He is a black and white short haired, entire male, no chip or collar.
He was found on Westborough Drive Halifax.
If you think you may be the owner proof of ownership will be required.
He is currently receiving veterinary care for his injuries 💕

Please note our practice Easter Bank Holiday opening hours below:

Our West Vale, Huddersfield and Mytholmroyd branches will be closed Friday 29th, Saturday 30th, Sunday 31st and Monday 1st.

Halifax will be open for emergencies only Friday 29th March, Sunday 31st and Monday 1st of April
Halifax will be open as usual 9am-4.30pm Saturday 30th March.

Please ensure you have sufficient supply of medication for your pets, if you think you may need more please call us on or before Monday 25th to ensure we have sufficient time to place these orders.

It's been 1 week since our team took part in Happydays UK Big Sleep Out...and look at how much you guys helped us raise!

Happy Days charity raised over £15,000 with this event!!

We understand that there are unique difficulties in bringing a cat to a veterinary clinic:
• Cats often do not travel well and feel unsafe away from their home
• They are highly sensitive to new sights, sounds and smells
• Most cats prefer quiet and solitude and are highly susceptible to stress

Here is the bravest boy Humphrey Christopher 🥰

We had a very poorly patient who needed blood urgently, and Humphrey was the best boy and donated blood to save this patient life! He got a very special treat after 😋

Humphrey's mummy is one of our Patient Care Assistants Ginny who some of you may have met 🐾

We’ve had several fledglings brought to us this week already, this really can be a death sentence. Please use this chart if you find a bird. There are many apps now that can identify species of bird and whether or not they are juvenile. Fledglings usually have parents circling above if they are on the ground, removing them from the environment means that they can’t be found by parents and will need rearing by a rescue centre. Please, if you find a fledgling or your cat brings one in, just place the bird somewhere high and out of danger and this will give it the best chance of survival.

In a game of 'How many gravy bones in the jar' you could win everything in the goody bag as well as the gravy bones themselves. It's just £1 to play, and you can play as many times as you like! All proceeds will be donated the to the Dogs Trust.

Winner will be drawn on the 9th June, and the closest number wins!

Regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), Registered
Veterinary Nurses (RVN) are required to complete a minimum of 15 hours
continual professional development (CPD) to remain active on the register and
work as an RVN.
Many nurses complete many more hours than the minimal requirement and
will often choose an area of interest in which to grow their knowledge. This
knowledge will then be shared within the clinical team, enabling them to treat
your pet to the best of their ability.
