Initial phase COMPLETED (5th Sept).

We are OPEN AS USUAL ! This includes the Kennels, Cafe at Castlefield and Morley Veterinary Practice LTD - New.

Cones will be out for safety reasons.

When visiting over the next few days please take extra care on entering our drive as we have some work being done to improve the road condition near the main road.

We apologise in advance for any dusruption caused.

We have found two items today, they will be held for 7 days at the kennels for you to reclaim.

1) Dog Baskerville Muzzle - found on the grass strip next to the drive *CLAIMED*

2) Wind deflector - found on the drive

FOUND CAT

We have been asked to help find the owner of this Calico cat from the Cotmanhay area.

It has been around Shirland Street area for the last 3 months or so and is a little timid. We have tried to scan for a microchip but not been able to find one.

This is on SUNDAY 19th MAY 🐶🤗

We will be holding a rumble tumble sale on Sunday 19th May at Cafe at Castlefield (10-3) to raise some much needed funds for the dogs in our care. We will have some collars, leads, harnesses, toys and much more for sale to raise money to help us pay for things like vet fees.

Please pop down to have a browse and chat to Lia and Harley the boxer and have a sneaky cake or ice cream in the lovely cafe.

We hope everyone is looking forward to your holidays. We don’t seem to have had a quiet period for a long time and so recognise people are already enjoying some great places.

One of our licence requirements is that all boarding dogs & cats must have up to date vaccinations to stay with us.

We have had a few occasions when we have had a pet turn up without proof of vaccination and then between the owner, us & the vets spend time trying to get the proof.

We don’t want anyone to be in the position of finding out their pets vaccination are out of date on arrival just a few hours prior to taking a flight (or other travel) to their holiday destination.

Unfortunately we cannot accept any pet without sight of vaccination status and not only will we have to turn them away, you will also have to pay for up to 7 days stay as per our cancellation policy.

We have to restate - it is the owners responsibility to ensure the vaccinations are up to date.

We now have wild duck food available to buy at the kennels to feed the ducks at straws bridge.

50p per bag & we will be donating 20p from each bag sold to Friends Of Straws Bridge, West Hallam, Derbyshire

Congratulations to Alice who has completed her apprenticeship in Animal Care at the kennels and secured a permanent role with us too.

We celebrated her success by presenting her with a certificate of achievement supported by staff colleagues.

Do you recognise this cat from Stanley Common area?

We have been asked to check for details on the microchip but cannot find one 🙈

The cat is safe & well - we just need to find an owner.

Remember cats need to be microchipped by June - if you need your cat microchipping we can do this by appointment (possible same day) and will implant AND register in your details. There is a fee of £15 which is taken as a donation to Castlefield Dog Rescue.

We can also check microchips and the registered details, we ask for a small donation to the rescue and you will need to provide proof of ID and address etc.
