"The results suggested that … g***d retention during the first 24 months of life—are strongly associated with lifelong avoidance of bilateral CCL rupture…Risk for CCL rupture was not influenced when g***d removal took place after the 24-month developmental period."

CCL injuries are one of the most common causes of pain and arthritis in dogs. Today at 12pm ET we're discussing how to prevent injury and available CCL treatment options.

Field update 🐶

We've had several requests to keep the field open longer hours over the winter. A few solar lights have been put up and spare torches in the shelter. Best to also bring torches with you, and take care walking as the ground is uneven in parts.

A metal loop has been added on the entrance gate post. Please lock as per photo. If someone is waiting to come in after you, no need to lock up, it's fine to let the next field user in.

Also, just a reminder, there is a chain and hook on the gate for extra security while in the field.

Gail and Kern 😀

📢 LEEDS FESTIVAL 25-27 August.

Based on previous years, the field will not be accessible by car on the Bank Holiday Monday, 28 August, until late afternoon. This is because one of the main exits from the festival campsite is a one way system using the route passing by the field. If anyone would like to use the field on Monday, 28 August before 4.30pm and is able to go on foot, or be dropped off/picked up nearby, please contact me (Gail) on 07961 813679 to book a 30min or 60min session at a 50% discount.

Access to the festival campsite starts Wednesday 23 August, meaning that roads around the area may be busier, more so over the weekend. It is advisable that field users allow more time to get to Bowcliffe Dog Enrichment Park and choose routes avoiding the road closures.

Leeds Festival website link is below, if you go to the menu the info page links to opening times and travel. Traffic signs have also now been placed roadside indicating road closure times.

Bioresonance is great for us humans as well as our furry friends!

Energy Summer Special!
Using Bioresonance therapy I am offering a 1 hour session to clear, balance and energise your chakras & clear your meridian lines. Think of an acupuncture session with no needles, and all you need to do is lie down and relax on a special sheet! During a Bioresonance session I harmonise all frequencies associated with your chakras and meridian lines. This helps to clear blockages and bring about balance in your energy centres, enabling a really good free flow of energy throughout your body. During the treatment I can also energise water for you to take away to that you may continue the harmonisation process for a few days after your session (don’t forget to bring a glass water bottle).
This special summer 1 hour session is £70.
If you would like to book in or find out more about Bioresonance either contact me on 07850475959 or [email protected].
Or feel free to message me on here!

What a lovely way to start a day; a flask of tea, your best buddy and a bit of sun at the field 😊🐾

We were there at 6.30am, an even earlier bird was there at 5am today 😲

More grass cutting this week, but as promised, we will keep some areas with longer grass with pathways and hopefully the delivery of the rest of the sand will come soon 🤞

Next week we are due a sand delivery (play sand for safety) for the sand pit. We will be tidying round some parts and cutting back some of the longer grass areas, but as per previous years we will be letting the area on the slope grow and cutting pathways. We aim to keep that balance of being a meadow type field with all the lovely flowers that come through, but with open short grass areas 🐾

So far this year a small tree has been completely ripped out of the ground and this is the second time that someone has deliberately tried to destroy this tree. The trees at the lower end in the field are self seeded. We are trying to let them grow, they are a lovely feature, why someone would be so destructive is beyond me 😔

The contractor has been to sort out all the branches that came down. The top end of the field is now back open 🐾🙂
