The time has come to bid this handsome boy a fond farewell... retirement to the country awaits him! This gentle, independent soul is a lover of freedom, water and adventure but stays constantly alert to where I am the whole time, he really is a joy to walk.

Euan has been with me for a few years now, so his paws will be tough ones to fill for sure! We will all miss him loads!!

A beautiful, crisp autumn walk, my favourite!
Today we were joined by Jamil and his Mummy for some socialisation. Jamil has a huge need to chase or be chased, so to be able to offer a safe environment for him to do just that is hugely beneficial for him. He is learning who is and who isn't willing to participate...vital for safe play! To balance it out for all the dogs, he is also learning to interact calmly when asked to do so. He is a work in progress and we love having him 🥰

It's worth saying for all those that struggle, that perfection should never be the goal, aim for a polite, confident dog instead and the rewards come thick and fast ☺️

It's been a while since I've shared any of my beautiful puppies, so I thought it was about time!
Since last time, due to a move and an impending new baby in their family, I have said goodbye to my gorgeous Zoe and Dylan but their slot didn't stay empty for long...let me introduce Bo and Wilf! I'm taking it slowly with these two as they're a little nervous, so after 3 weeks of some settling in activities, today was the big day and the full group test! They smashed it! I'm so proud of Lily, Tilley and Harry for making them so welcome...good job guys!!❤️

Puppy positivity!

In these challenging, scary times I wanted to end the week on a really positive note...thanks to my wonderful doggies, in this recorded moment, for reminding me that no obstacle is insurmountable! 'Magic hand'...a week ago, this would not have been impossible. Ruby was letting me know, very clearly, that she was struggling. The environment and all its distractions was proving too much for this little lady and some of her behaviour choices just weren't appropriate for group walks...lack of focus on me, chasing cyclists, reactivity towards other dogs, digging frantically, fearful of noises, poor recall etc. As you all know, safety and happiness for all my puppies is my priority, so some work was needed to empty her 'stress bucket'. Her Mummy was fully on board and after one session and a couple of days playing some specific games, it was evident that Ruby was feeling much more relaxed, therefore able to take her focus off the environment and back on me. A week on, this level of focus is the result! I couldn't be prouder of both her and her Mummy. Still a way to go but what a turn around! ♥️ Behaviours can change all the time, depending on what experiences your dog has had in that day/week/month...you may not even notice at the time! Stay aware and step in straight away to avoid rehearsal of unwanted behaviours. We took full advantage of the empty skateboard park today! It's half term, where are all the kids?? Multi dog orientation is one of my favourite games to play...not just beacause it's heaps of fun but it improves group dynamics, focus and value on me, builds a reliable recall and its also also a massive confidence and optimism booster for all involved! #concepttrainer #gamechanger #dogwalkerwithadifference * just a note of caution if you try this... not all dogs like to share! Be mindful of who's around when you're throwing food!
