Dear new puppy parents, let’s have an honest chat for a moment.

Your puppy is unlikely to master toilet training or settle in completely within the first three months of joining your home. You may feel like you’re making progress, only to face setbacks. There will be bites, barking, tantrums, and the occasional missing shoe.

All of this is perfectly normal!

When I adopted Venice, now three years old, I experienced tears, frustration, and overwhelming doubts. There were moments filled with regret and insecurity, but also times of joy, celebration, and a sense of achievement that filled me with confidence.

It’s high time we trainers stopped presenting the idea that “if you just follow this formula, everything will be perfect” because that simply isn’t the case. No book, article, or TikTok video can truly understand your puppy's unique personality or see you as an individual.

However, if you stick to your plan, even when the approach feels unconventional, I assure you that you will come out stronger on the other side!

That's a wrap for the week. Danielle's back on Monday I'm back Tuesday. Just in case you don't know there are major roadworks starting on Linlithgow High Street on Monday - it's basically going to be chaos 😜. So please give yourself extra time 😍

Reminder - Works to improve footways and carriageways in Linlithgow will get underway soon. (Please share if you stay in or visit Linlithgow).

A series of measures will be in place at different stages of the project with both road users and pedestrians advised to plan ahead.

Linlithgow High Street and Water Yett Car park to close for a period as part of the improvement works. Initial works commence from Monday 28 October see below for details 👇

Spooky season is well underway at the shop 🎃☠️👻 we just ❤️ Halloween 🎃. As always we're super busy. So the next big day is Christmas 🎄 😁 🎄 December is already nearly full. Danielle and I are both working extra days to try and accommodate everyone, if you need your pooch ready for Santa 🎅 please book asap - we really try our best to fit everyone in as we hate to disappoint- but once they're gone they're gone 🙈🙈

Morning Facebookers. Just a wee reminder we are closed for the Marches 18th June and the Gala day Sat 22nd June. This means we are super full 🙈 Danielle and I are both working extra to make sure everyone gets their dogs done in this hot weather 🌞🌞 however we are now July for appts, so please book ahead if you need your dogs done for holidays as we hate to disappoint 😁😁
