Every year our Vets treat beloved pets suffering from heatstroke 😟🌡️ This is a serious condition that can progress very quickly. And in severe cases, it can cause seizures, organ damage and even death 😿

Once temperatures get to 25 degrees Celsius and above, our Vets tend to see a dramatic increase in heatstroke cases ❗

During last year’s July heatwave, the teams across our 48 Pet Hospitals saw over 60 pets that needed emergency treatment for life-threatening heatstroke in just ONE week. That’s almost twice the number seen in the same week in 2021 😲

And when the weather reached record temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius in some areas of the country, we treated over 300 pets who were struggling in the heat, either directly due to heat stroke or where the pets’ symptoms had been worsened by the sweltering weather ☀️🥵
