Finally got home yesterday evening ❤️🐾

We made it 🇬🇪 8 days of driving and we are in Batumi tonight before the final stretch to Tbilisi tomorrow. Lexi has coped really well, she's basically slept the entire journey so has no idea how far she's gone 😂 I'll do a full summary of the trip soon, including a stressful 24 hours involving a burst tyre and denied entry into Turkey... but other than that one day of disaster it was actually all okay, and I think I prefer driving on the right!

Please speak up for our friends without a voice, before gentle, loving pets get taken from their families 😢

Planning our European travel recently we found a number of countries have banned Staffies. It happens everywhere, it comes from a place of fear and misunderstanding but never actually tackles the root of the problem. People will only go onto the next breed and the cycle continues

I believe that the XL bully is a kind, beautiful natured breed that loves children and people in general, and are very loyal and loving pets.

HAPPY UPDATE!!
This beautiful girl has found a very caring, knowledgeable home.
Thank you so much for all your enquires and shares. 🥰🥰 🥰 🥰 URGENT, HOME NEEDED 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

We know of a sweet natured, friendly tortie who is about 18 and who is in need of a new home. Until today, she and her close companion had been living alone in their owner's flat being fed by a relative for a little while, as their owner has been taken into care (we think).🥰The keys to the flat need to be returned in a few days. 😍Very sadly, one of the cats was put to sleep today, on the advice of a vet as she had a lump. So now, this dear little girl is even more bewildered, with her close friend suddenly disappearing and having also lost her devoted owner from her life. This beautiful girl, photo to follow, has been spayed but is not currently vaccinated. It is thought that she is in good health.🥰

Please do get in touch if you can help or you know of anybody genuine who possibly can do. Whilst we may all want to help in cases like this and so many others, we have to be realistic about our own circumstances and our capacity to provide what this sweetheart needs. Thank you for reading, possibly sharing too. ❤️

Rosie’s Walks and Care

My name is Rosanna and I grew up surrounded by small, fluffy family members. These, I was told, are called cats, and I decided they were probably more interesting than humans. During my childhood, fish, stick insects, rabbits and tortoises were added to the pack, and I learnt how to care for them all. From a young age I also helped my mum look after a neighbour’s pets each time they were away, and by 13 I was responsible enough to continue it on my own.

In 2015 I moved to Orkney, staying with family who already had a houseful of animals; these included cats who were more in tune with their wild side, and a rejected-sheepdog border collie. My closest kitty friend whilst there was an ex-feral, who at the beginning felt the need to remind me he was there first by sending the occasional clawed swipe my way. Needless to say, soon he was appreciating being picked up to receive cuddles, and would sit comfortably on the ultimate cat throne - a lap. In my 2 years there I also loved taking the dog on walks or runs, especially on the beach, and seeing her face light up at the sight of a squeaky ball. It was impossible not to smile every time she’d greet me with tail wags and full body wiggles of happiness!

Once back in Manchester, I’d started a zero hour contract job which wasn’t offering me many consistent hours and, missing the collie in Orkney, I thought why not fill some of the time having fun walking a doggo or two? So I set up a Tailster profile (tailster.me/relyonrosie) and quickly acquired my first client. Within a couple of months I was dog walking every day of the week and had a few cat sitting jobs on the go, and I found myself prioritising pet bookings over the original work! Along with the great feedback I was receiving from pet owners and how much I looked forward to seeing each animal, it made sense then to go full-time offering pet services. Though it was difficult starting over in a new place when I relocated to Waterloo, I’m thoroughly enjoying every day I get to spend looking after different animals and meeting new characters. :)
