Meet Pamela the Multi-parameter!
As part of our Meet The Team initiative, we’d like to introduce Pamela the Multi-parameter!
When your pet is having a surgical procedure, one of our experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses is responsible for monitoring and managing their anaesthetic. While nothing replaces the skills and knowledge of a human being, we use various pieces of equipment to help keep your pet safe. Our multi-parameter monitor records heart rate, respiration rate, pulse oximetry (how saturated blood is with oxygen), capnography (monitors the levels of expired and inspired carbon dioxide in respiration), blood pressure, ECG and temperature. All of these parameters are closely monitored and interpreted by our nurses so that we can keep your pet as safe as possible when they are under anaesthetic.
Remember, Remember the 5th of November...
Bonfire night may seem a long way away, but now is the time to start planning for the firework season. Contact us now for advice if you pet is anxious around fireworks and we can help you get prepared.
