Dog Sense offers private bespoke one-to-one training sessions to improve your relationship with your dog and address general behavioural issues. Each visit begins in the home and lasts up to 2.5 hours. By helping you to understand your dogs behaviour I advise on how to make small but significant changes and will provide you with the tools needed to address any concerns. Each person and dog will ha
ve different requirements and needs. Some of you may only require the one visit but for others the process can take longer and additional visits can be arranged at your request. Me
I am a fully qualified Guide Dog Trainer and Guide Dog Instructor. This is my profession and I have worked for Guide Dogs for the Blind for the past 7 years. I have a Bsc degree in Animal Behaviour with my thesis on dogs and an Msc in Animal Conservation. Prior to working with Guide Dogs I worked as a veterinary nurse in Hawaii and Australia. But a good dog trainer is not just defined by their level of knowledge on behaviour, it is also about how they handle dogs, their intuition and above all having a good rapport with people. From my varied experiences I like to think I have these attributes. To say I have a passion for dogs is an understatement, they are and always have been a huge part of my life. You
I want each owner to understand their dogs behaviour in a holistic manner. From each interaction, feeding, play behaviour, obedience, lead walking and off lead in the park. An understanding of these and how they are all connected will enable you to shape the dog you want to have. Your role is you take over from where I finish and change the areas that need improving. In order to see results a training plan will be agreed and the commitment you put in will determine the results. I like to see happy dogs and happy people!!
