And that's the end to the sleepless nights and I would like to thank my amazing wife Denise for all her help.

Well this boy has kept us waiting but it was worth it, he's a cracking c**t with good bone and looking good for only a few hours old.

Shortly after 4am this morning Northwest Nugget gave birth to a beautiful palomino filly, another foal by loutin white feather Tijaca, thankfully it was a straight forward foaling and she was up on her feet and sucking within an hour.

Well the foaling season has well and truly started, at 12:45 this morning Glenkee Freya had a beautiful palomino filly foal to Loutin White Feather Tijuca, she was a bit slow on having a suck but a bit of perseverance has paid off and she now know where the milk bar is, she was a bit cold so we put a little coat on her for a few hours just to keep her temperature up.

I haven't been very active on my page for a while, but that's about to change, I have 6 black mares/fillys at the stud, Emma, Aurora and Isabella I know any where, now the other 3 well that's a different story, thank goodness for microchips.

Where do I start ?
I have taken my passion for the Shetland pony to the next level, I have participated in my first Shetland Pony Stud book Society council meeting, and I was nervous but excited at the same time, I can say that the meeting was extremely productive with some good outcomes and I hope my input had some value. Unfortunately, not everyone made it to the meeting due to adverse weather conditions, and I now understand the sacrifice that is made to attend these meetings and to sit on Council.

I would like to give a special Thanks to Stevie McKay from the Alichbrae Shetland Ponies for collecting me from the airport and the stud visit, they truly have tremendous ponys of the highest standard, just as well I was flying or I would have taken a few home with me. THE PHOTOS ARE OF THEIR PONYS. I would like to thank Stevies lovely wife Jackie for the wonderful lunch, It was super tasty.
I would also like to thank Mathew Davidson for the lift back to the Airport.

What an amazing time I had going to Worcester sale 2023, firstly I have to thank my new and amazing friend Susan Cook and her husband Stuart for their hospitality and making me feel so welcome, also taking the time to show me her wonderful ponys, she really is an amazing person, the world would be a better place if there were more like her. I would also like to thank Elspeth Crawford at the Fayrefield for the stud visit and all the laughter over the couple of days at the sale, Samantha Hallett, what a Gem, even though she squeezed me into the back of her car. It was great to put faces to names and meet everyone, I would like to thank everyone who bid and purchased any of my ponys, but the icing on the cake was that Glenkee Ozark has gone to Snelsmore stud, I am gobsmacked that a renowned stud seen enough in Ozark to purchase him and I really do wish them the best with him and he lives up to their expectations.

Yesterday another one of our c**ts joined the ranks of the stallions by passing his VVE, Loutin White Feather Tijuca was our first stallion to get out with some mares this year and he seems to be taking his new career very seriously. We don't have many dilutes within the studs but hopefully with his help this will change. And he's Tested Clear for Skeletal Atavism.

We have a broken foal, this is our last foal born for 2023 he is about 9 hours old, sound asleep. I thought he was dead.

Well that's foaling season done for another year, we have 12 beautiful foals on the ground, 6 c**ts and 6 fillys in a range of colours and patterns, it wasn't all sunshine as you would expect but we got there in the end. There will be loads of photos in the near future.

I often hear the term "Barron Mare" so at what age do you give up on covering her year after year, and no foal appears? Well this is Glenkee Candice, she is undoubtedly the best female pony ever bred at Glenkee stud, and this is Bertie Kee's opinion. So at 15 years old she has given me her first foal, a beautiful c**t by Robin's Brae Rave.

Spring is finally here on the mountains, the green shoots are appearing, the ponys are not finishing off their hay in the feeders, Foaling season is approaching fast, we're going to be busy this year.

Orella is looking heavy in foal to one of our main stallions, Robin's Brae Rave. She is untested for SA, her dam is tested clear, she will be tested in the next batch.
