The field has been topped! 🎉

Thanks for your patience whilst we had essential machinery repairs which delayed this second cut of the year.

There are a couple of sections we’ve left long for our sniffing/exploring dogs that come to visit and to just keep the field an interesting environment for your dogs to enjoy!

Tuesday 18th July 7pm - Small dogs

Tuesday 25th July 7pm - Big dogs

These sessions are 45 minutes long and are for well socialised dogs only. If you have any questions about the suitability of your dog, please just drop us a message and we can answer any questions.

The sessions are designed to be fun free play time in a safe enclosed environment for dogs to interact with others.

£10 per dog and £7.50 for a second dog from the same household.

We have lovely Zoe from Absolute K9 in attendance to over see.

☀️ Hot weather ☀️

Please be mindful of the hot weather when booking slots at the field.

We are lucky we have an established tree line providing shade, particularly in the morning, and the shelter and fresh running water in the top left hand side of the field.

We appreciate as dog owners ourselves that dogs need to be walked, but please be mindful of allowing your dogs to over exert themselves and if you’re using the field, lots of breaks and time in the shade with sniffing and games is still exercise for your dogs brains 😃

We are open from 5am and have evening slots too so please make use of these too!

🎉 DOG SOCIAL 🎉

Tuesday 30th May 6pm - Big dogs

Similarly to last year, with the warmer weather arriving, we’ll look to arrange socials for the cooler evenings!

At the moment we seem to have more bigger dogs keen to come and play with their friends so big dogs scheduled first, with a smaller dog social planned for early June - watch this space!

If you haven’t been before, these sessions are an hour of fun and play for your dogs in our secure 2 acre field with other like minded dog owners. They are overseen by the lovely Zoe from Absolute K9.

At last we have some sunshine! ☀️

Here is beautiful Tilly enjoying the field. Tilly is a rescue who has recently found her new home and forever person 🥰 They both enjoy their weekly visits to the field for some off lead fun, relaxation and training!

Her new owner tells us the field has been such a valuable safe space as they get to know each other better… we love to hear what brings you to the field so for a bit of fun, comment below and let us know! 🐶

☔️ Wellies needed at the field 🌧️

The gateway into the field (for the first time ever) is surrounded by a puddle this evening!

We aren’t sure how quickly it will drain away but recommend wearing wellies to get in and out of the field for the next couple of days.

We hope you all enjoyed the long bank holiday weekend! 🐣

We’ve had some really lovely messages recently about what a fantastic resource so many of you find the field - so thank you! Messages like those and photos of your hounds enjoying the field really do make our day 🥰

Just a reminder - please try to arrive as close to your start time as possible for your booked session and if you do happen to arrive a tad early, please stay in your car with your dog/s. Some of the dogs that use the field can be very nervous and/or reactive to all sorts of stimulus including things such as other dogs, other humans, moving cars, umbrellas, people in hats and all sorts of others thing that may not be immediately apparent to an outsider. These owners bring their dogs to the field as a real refuge and would appreciate your understanding in giving them their space as they use the facility for their full allocated time.

Thanks for all your support and cooperation to ensure the smooth running of the field for all users! 🐶

Happy Saturday everyone!

I’m afraid it’s another whinge from us this morning.

Despite the dig box and numerous reminders from us - there are still holes appearing in the field. There is one particularly substantial one to the side of the shelter where a dog must’ve been digging for some time to create this sort of hole (photo below).

Holes in the field pose a risk to other users (canine and human) and it really is just as simple as watching your dog/s properly.

It’s so frustrating (especially given the dig box, constructed at our own expense and with our own hands!) that a few individuals treat the field with this sort of disregard. We understand digging is a fun activity for your dog and uses up lots of their energy - please just encourage them to dig in the allocated area.

PLEASE watch your dog at all times in the field - this is your responsibility. If you are seen to be disregarding any of the rules of the field, your use of it will be suspended. We are based at the site and will be keeping a closer eye on the field.

Thanks to everyone who takes this responsibility seriously, we know that is the large majority of you ❤️

What a freezing cold day! 🥶

With more cold weather forecast for the week ahead, the field is the perfect place for your dog to keep warm burning lots of energy in our beautiful 2 acre secure field!

Below are some of the available sessions we have for the week ahead (please check the website for exact availability!)

Tuesday - 10:00am and 11:00am

Wednesday - 7:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm onwards

Thursday - 12:00pm and 2:00pm onwards

Friday - Morning slots until 11am and 3pm onwards

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our brand new purpose built shelter!!

We hope it will be a little refuge for you if you get caught in bad weather and mean that on the wettest of days, there is somewhere you can take your dogs for a good run without getting soaked yourself.

Happy new year and thanks for all your support in 2022.

We want to continue to enhance the facilities for you and your dogs to enjoy so we spent the day building a digging box in the field. We also hope that providing a designated and inviting area for your dogs to dig will help reduce any other unwanted holes in the field.

Again, just a polite reminder to please discourage your dogs from digging holes elsewhere.

Just a bit of a housekeeping post…

We’ve been out in the field this morning filling in any holes we could find. Some of these we’ve filled and also placed the big round platforms over the top as an extra precaution but we appreciate that these do get moved around the field too.

PLEASE try not to let your dogs dig in the field…. We know some of them find it awfully good fun but it poses a risk to other humans and canines using the field.

If your dog does dig or if you find any other holes, please do let us know so we can fill them accordingly.

The agility hoop for jumping through has also been destroyed by a dog - again, please don’t let your dogs be destructive in the field as it spoils it for others.
