Interesting post on FB I’ve just seen 🤔

Did you know:
If you have a pacemaker, you can put it in your Will to have your pacemaker donated to a dog in need after you pass.
Pacemakers cannot be donated to another human, but they can be donated to dogs with cardiac issues who would depend on it to stay alive.
You can have the pacemaker brought to a vet of your choice.
So many of these get thrown away and dogs die because people don't know they can do this. It even saves the dog's owner the cost of the actual pacemaker which sometimes means the difference in being able to afford lifesaving treatment or not.

Food for thought. For the last few years I’ve believed in leaving pet dogs intake until at least two years old, until they are fully developed both physically & emotionally.
Now I’ve listened to this, and heard the many more problems to our dogs that early spaying & neutering can cause, l’ll be waiting even longer & looking for a vet who is willing to spare some reproductive tissue , like the ovaries, to further increase the chance of a healthy future for my pets

Our Buddy has been in a foster home for a couple of weeks now and is doing absolutely amazing but he still needs a forever home 🏡

Buddy was really finding life in kennels incredibly difficult, he missed the company and comforts of being in a home.
Despite lots of pleas to try and find him a home of his home we had no applications for him.

His foster home cannot keep him long term so we are begging that you share him and help him find his forever family.

Buddy is a 2 year old Lurcher.
He absolutely loves people and loves nothing more than hanging out with his family.

Buddy is an affectionate love bug, he loves a snooze on the sofa, does the more incredible zoomies round the house and garden and tires himself out in minutes 🤣

In his foster home he has been clean in the house and been a really well behaved house guest (which after 8 months in rescue is fantastic)
His foster mum said he sleeps downstairs with no fuss, has been left on his own a few times again with no issue.

Out on walks Buddy walks really well in his halti and his dog reactiveness has calmed so much, he really is a clever boy and is doing so well, his new family will need to continue the training we have been doing with him on walks.

Buddy is really food motivated which helps with his training.

Buddy isn't really a play fetch sort of dog, but he does loves his teddy's which he throws around and does his zoomies with.

He is only 2 years old and deserves his happy ever after.

Buddy is looking for a pet free home with a secure garden of his own (not communal)

To settle him in he would need someone around most of the he day to begin with but he has proved he is happy being left alone for short periods and obviously this can be built up once he's settled in.

Buddy can happily live with older children.

It’s been the type of weather 🌞 when you just don’t need all this fur…. It’s a long job, hand stripping, combing & brushing…. but satisfying 😅
