Your Pet's Friend

This is such a difficult post to write but here goes…

After thinking long and hard, I’ve had to make the difficult decision to close Your Pet’s Friend at the end of January 2024. As you know, I’ve been struggling with severe back pain for some time now and I really need to make some changes to my lifestyle for my long-term health.

I would like to thank you all so much for your loyalty, support, and kindness over the years and for always trusting me to look after your furbabies. I’ve really enjoyed the wonderful times we’ve had on walks together and I’m going to miss them so much (and you too of course!).

I have several trusted dog walker friends and would be more than happy to pass their details to you. Please DM me if you’d like details.

Hi, I've been keeping an eye on this incoming storm. It's still due to hit early afternoon.
We have a very busy day, so will need to cut all work's short. Just to make sure everyone gets to go out before it hits

Hi everyone, due to the hot weather I'll be starting earlier and cutting walk's slightly shorter to make sure everyone is walked.
I'm also on my own as Andy isn't well.

She'll be looking after the transportation of gang and day to day support for the boy's and myself.

Hi, due to the expected high temperatures this coming week we will be starting earlier.
All walk's will be cut slightly shorter if necessary to make sure everyone is walked before 1pm.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but your dog's safety obviously comes first.
If you need anything later than 1pm we can do drop-ins.

This is the hardest thing I've had to do to date and has taken me a while to do, because it's been a real struggle.
It's with great sadness and heavy heart to let you know of the passing of Zak aka wiggle bottom.
He was such a wonderful happy boy and thanks to Ann and Andy I got to share him and his little Zak quirks for 10 lovely year's.

Play date with Nell, Nero and Maze. Got to love Doberman play, when they've had enough of all action jumping and chasing. Just lie down and play instead 😁😁

Hi, everyone, it's a horrible day and seems worse than Friday morning.
I'm going to have to cut the walk's short again today and only do the one's that their parents aren't home. I'm sure all of you as do I want your furbs safe and out of danger day's like these.
Stay safe and don't go out if you don't have to.
Could you please let me know if you are ok for me to leave your furbs walk today, so I know what I need to do.

Well we're out with the dog's and it's calm at the moment. Hopefully we'll get round to everyone 🤞🤞
Quick update.
Looking at the forecast I'm going to try and get as many walks as I can before 1pm. That looks like the time the main storm hits and the wind dramatically increases..

I've been keeping my eye on the storm that's due to hit tomorrow morning and last all day.
The forecast if anything is getting worse and I may have to cancel all tomorrow's walk's.
I'm sure you wouldn't want your dog in any sort of danger either.
I'll monitor it today to see if there's any improvements in the forecast. 🤞🤞

What to expect
There is a good chance that flying debris could result in a danger to life
Damage to buildings and homes is likely, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down
Roads, bridges and railway lines are likely to close, with delays and cancellations to bus, train, ferry services and flights
There is a good chance that power cuts, possibly prolonged, could occur and possibly affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
Large waves are likely and beach material is likely to be thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
It is likely there will be falling branches and some uprooted trees
