Yesterday I got the news Thomas had sadly passed away, he has been coming in for so many years every few weeks, he was always the gentleman….. he would come in and sit in his usual spot, which was on the shelf of all places, so he could keep himself to himself, if someone was already sat there, we would have to move them, we couldn’t upset our Thomas…. when it was bathtime he would begrudgingly come out while giving us the side eye… as if to say ‘well I’m not happy about a bath but if you insist’ he would never put a paw wrong, when he was done he would sit back on the shelf and wait for his mum…. That was when we weren’t busy with the dressing up box, if he could’ve rolled his eyes at that he definitely would have…. He always took part though!…
He has taught many a new groomer over the years that have been working alongside me the style of a Welsh spaniel, ❤️ The minute his mum come for him he would go all excited, jumping up ready to go home…. He would proudly walk out and go home to his sister lily, who will be missing him dearly…. Rest in peace Thomas… the perfect gentleman 🐾

This weekend I was asked to go and teach salon styles at the college of animal welfare in Cambridge… my models were Bailey the Cockerpoo and bear the Bichon… both boys were on best behaviour 🤩
I had a great time!… I love sharing my knowledge and teaching new dog groomers starting out in their careers…. We had great feedback and lots of questions asked and photos taken,
I have been asked to go back and do more… how exciting ✂️🐶

I forgot to post these!… a few weeks ago myself and one of my best pals were asked to go on ‘this morning’ TV to talk about our creative grooming! I took along my Trudy and bodhi and Lacey who belong to Vikki and also little toby who has been a regular customer for years and also comes competing, we had a brilliant time… did you see us? Here’s a few shots of our day

From the 1st July there will be a price increase, this is due to the rising costs in equipment etc
I’ve tried my best to absorb the costs but I am running far to cheap
I will let every customer know upon booking what the cost will be.
Also, dogs must be kept on a regular recommended schedule, if the groom runs over, the cost of the groom will be higher as it would then take longer to do,
for dogs found to have fleas, there will be a £10 charge on top of the groom- it costs me to spray and treat the salon
For no shows- the missed appointment needs to be paid for before another appointment is made, i can’t pay bills and wages on ‘I forgots’
there is a 24 hour cancellation policy, any last minute cancellations will also need to pay for the appointment they had booked before another appointment is made.
There will also be a change in opening and closing times which I will update on the page shortly, late night appointments will only be available every other Thursday

Some of you may have noticed a new face in the shop….. kenzie joined us a few weeks ago and has settled in perfect and has proved to be a fast learner 🤩
Kenzie is chief bather, dryer, nail clipper and ear cleaner…. All the dogs have taken to her very well, her calm influence rubs off on them….. she is a great team member and is keen to learn 🐶

I’ve left my diary at home 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I’ll go through messages tonight when I’ve finished,
Also after chasing payments all week and now being ignored by people, all bank transfers need to be done before you pick your dog up,
I have wages and bills to pay and I’m now having to fork out my own pocket because people are ignoring my messages.

📣 GOOD NEWS! 📣

We’re all back to normal!! The work has been done plus a few extra bits to ensure it doesn’t happen again!… I’ve been in this evening with penny and tested it all out and it’s working!
The shop will be back open tomorrow as normal and I will begin to rebook everyone back in tomorrow morning, we will be working Sunday and Monday to catch up on the appointments we had to cancel
A huge thank you to all the groomers who offered to have me go in their salon and work and Oliver James reached out to help me also, its brilliant how local businesses reach out to offer help and I will be sure to repay the favours if anyone ever needs my help!

📣 shop update 📣
The workmen have replaced the burst pipes in the shop.
Unfortunately, the box for the heater needs replacing…. This work is being carried out on Thursday when an electrician and plumber can both be present… I’ve spoken to everyone booked in… as soon as the work has been carried out and I’m back up and running I will re book everyone who was due in..
We’ve all agreed to work Sunday and Monday to catch up on missed appointments, as soon as it’s all fixed I will be in touch
In the meantime I can’t book any other appointments until the work is fixed and we all know where we’re up-to.
Thank you for everyone’s patience and understanding while we overcome this hurdle and thanks to those to came yesterday and called up with offers of help to lend a hand, it’s very much appreciated
Hopefully we will be back in business Thursday afternoon 🤞

Currently flooded out here at doggie styles, I’ve come in this morning to the heater for the shower has popped and then broken this pipe so there is water everywhere, equipment ruined, floor ruined, the workmen have been in and although the pipes have been fixed, it looks like I need a whole new box for heating the shower, the workmen are trying their best to get me back up and running, I’m currently contacting everyone who is booked in to rearrange, I’m really sorry but this is something out of my control, nobody asks to be flooded out and left unable to work, I could cry, I really could 😞

Please can everyone just bear in mind I am not available 24/7
I get back to messages as soon as I can, in between bathing/drying and grooming dogs, if I stopped every time I get a message I’d never get anything dogs done, I spend hours in a day making appointments and replying as soon as I can at the end of the day providing it’s not too late
I have had to change my working hours recently, some of you are aware- one of my children are very poorly at the minute and I am back and to to Manchester children’s hospital a lot, I cannot answer a call when I am in the hospital either.
It’s easier to text me with a preferred date and morning or afternoon slot, it saves messaging back and to and gets appointments done quicker,
Today I will be replying them all, this takes hours honestly, I’ve not forgotten- I have to sort out rota’s etc first so I know what I have available
Please, just bear with me and please don’t send ??? If I don’t reply immediately
