Good morning everyone & I hope you’re having a good week. We have had people sending negativity towards this has been untrue & we would like to enlighten you in just some of the work we do & will continue to do with a team of volunteers that we are so thrilled to have 🐈⬛🐈
These 2 gorgeous girls are going to be up for adoption but please read the following as they have been through the mill & are a true rescue in our eyes.
Just over a month ago we rescued 3 kittens who were under weight & we terrified. They were attacking & hissing & couldn’t be handled & even just walking towards them they would cower. These kittens were 9 weeks old.
The first thing was we put them on milk & food giving them a whole inside room inside our fosters home. Our foster gave them round the clock care waking at night for additional feeds & trying to socialise them daily with human contact.
The milk, food & litter cost us £45 on our first purchase as kittens need feeding 4 times daily so each day with 3 kittens we were going through 12 pouches alone & a large bag of kitten biscuits wouldn’t last a week.
Our second purchase was £35 because we didn’t need to buy a box of milk until later that week which was an additional £12. Then by this point we had to buy another larger bag of litter at a cost of £14. This is just 2 weeks in. This isn’t taking into account for the time & efforts the foster had give already to nursing these babies back to health.
When they came in on our examination there were no visible signs & nothing was felt on the first examination.
With gaining more trust with the kittens then we could examine them much more. Another foster was asked to assist with the examination as this foster other has extensive experience of over 20 years working & caring for animals. our foster felt a lump around where the umbilical cord was & phoned the vets straight away. After having a second opinion. They were seen the following morning & an umbilical hernia
