This will be a non-residential camp but will still be full, fun-packed days!

ARENA EVENTING COMPETITION 🐴

🗓️ Thursday 30th May

Showjumping and Arena x-country combined competition

The morning will be a have-a-go confidence building competition at approximately 60cm with a more competitive competition in the afternoon, approximately 80cm.

£30 for two rounds - this can either be a practice round and a second attempt at the same height or two competitive rounds at different heights!

Lots of rosettes and prizes to be won!

The lane repairs have now been finished. We have spent a lot of money on the repairs and laid 260 tonnes of road planings. Please respect the 10mph speed limit that is now in force and please don’t treat it like a race track, otherwise you’ll have the wrath of Christine if she catches you driving at speed! Thank you for your patience whilst the work was being carried out and thanks to Daniel for all your hard work. 🚜🚘

Newark equestrian weekly update:
We’ve had quite an exciting week down at the yard, We’ve had two new arrivals. We had Boo arrive late Thursday night as a lovely surprise for Courtney, a lovely sweet energetic pony. Who has previously British show jumped.
Followed by Misty on Friday bought by Jade, a lovely Connie cross Irish draught, She’s got lovely manners and has hunted lots and nice and genuine in the school.

Many of the younger riders went out show jumping at Elms equestrian today and had a great day with many of them placing:

Newark equestrian weekly update:
On Monday night we had our Christmas themed jump clinic with many riders dressing up for the occasion. We had fun practising bounces over a festive pole exercise, set up as Christmas tree. Working on rhythm, balance and fluency
On Wednesday, We also had our lovely Christmas meal. Where we shared our Secret Santa’s, and had lots of lovely catch ups. Enjoying gorgeous food and many drinks. Spending our evening with one another, whilst sharing our Christmas wishes and what we hope the new year brings.

Celebrating the successes of our wonderful customers is one of the greatest pleasures of our jobs so we’re going to highlight a few over the next few weeks!

First up is our lovely Courtney who today got her first competition win on her pony Meg. 🏆

Courtney has been riding with us for a few years and although her riding journey has not always been smooth sailing she has shown fantastic determination and put in some serious hard work to overcome her nerves and learn to ride her cheeky Meg in the best possible way.

Courtney has really learnt that when you’re riding a horse you love, you have already won - just look at that smile - but all her training and passion is also now rewarding her with those frillies and that is just the icing on the cake!

Huge congratulations Courtney, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to keep supporting you on your journey! 💖

Weekly update:
On Tuesday a few of the staff enjoyed a masterclass with Chris Bartle run by Stubbing court training. Chris is an Eventing high performance coach, we got to enjoy coaching sessions in either poles or jumping. Dannie participated in the 90+cm and Jade and Kiara did pole work. It’s nearly time for camp again, and we can’t wait!! We still have a few spaces left so get in touch to book in for a whole week of horses, jumping, hacking, polo, competitions, games and a whole lot of FUN! 💫. 31st July - 4th August Can’t wait to see you there!

🏆 TEAM NEWARK EQUESTRIAN 🏆 We’ve been out and about at lots of competitions recently with success all round and lots to work on and develop in our lessons and pony club rallies! Some highlights include: ✨First competition for Jessica Shepherd and new pony Zeus, coming away with a 1st and 5th in huge classes ✨ Tia Howe’s first competition on her new horse Prince Orlofsky (Olaf) stepping up to bigger classes and building their relationship ✨ Orla Smith’s first ever competition bringing home a 2nd with Hamish ✨ Lexie Howe and Pony Mr Bo Jangles getting more competitive with their jumping and bagging 3rd in a large class ✨ Courtney Ashmore’s first competition with her new pony Meg after only a few weeks, developing a great partnership together and learning about competitive riding ✨ Zofia McCormick had a fantastic first competition with new loan pony Will, bringing home a 4th and 6th in very competitive classes ✨ Dominic Wright’s first competition with his young pony Bella, showing lots of progress already ✨Maddie Barnabas overcoming competition nerves and getting 2 clear rounds with good placings on loan her horse Lady Some of our staff have also been out competing recently. Dannie entered her first BS competition at Vale view with Raymond with good results in the British Novice and Discovery. Emma and BB came home with two 1st at Elms Farm, competed successfully in a ODE, and had two great rounds at 105 and Newcomers at the BS show at vale view. We can’t wait to continue working with these young riders and see them develop in the future 💫

🎉JUNIOR CAMP- DRILL RIDING 🎉 To end junior camp with a bang, the girls performed a drill ride for the parents! 🐎 They worked hard all morning, preparing their ponies and memorising their routine until it was perfect! 🤩 The performance was wonderful and they all worked together to make sure everyone knew where they were going, and the ponies were on their best behaviour too! Here is the clip of the final performance complete with music (Disney classics of course) choreographed by Emma and Charlie👍🏼☺️ We still have some spaces available for next weeks 3 and 5 day camps starting 22nd August!

✨JUNIOR CAMP DAYS 1/2✨ Here’s a small snippet of what our young riders have been up to this week! From learning the rules of polo, practising riding to music and even giving archery a shot! Let’s not forget the lessons in stable management, tack cleaning and caring for our ponies 🐎 There is so much more to come this week! With a pentathlon occurring this afternoon and tons more fun planned 🤩 We will be sure to let you take a peek at all the excitement! 🎉
