Juniors - 15th & 16th August

This will be a non-residential camp but will still be full, fun-packed days!

ARENA EVENTING COMPETITION 🐴

🗓️ Thursday 30th May

Showjumping and Arena x-country combined competition

The morning will be a have-a-go confidence building competition at approximately 60cm with a more competitive competition in the afternoon, approximately 80cm.

£30 for two rounds - this can either be a practice round and a second attempt at the same height or two competitive rounds at different heights!

Lots of rosettes and prizes to be won!

The lane repairs have now been finished. We have spent a lot of money on the repairs and laid 260 tonnes of road planings. Please respect the 10mph speed limit that is now in force and please don’t treat it like a race track, otherwise you’ll have the wrath of Christine if she catches you driving at speed! Thank you for your patience whilst the work was being carried out and thanks to Daniel for all your hard work. 🚜🚘

Newark equestrian weekly update:
We’ve had quite an exciting week down at the yard, We’ve had two new arrivals. We had Boo arrive late Thursday night as a lovely surprise for Courtney, a lovely sweet energetic pony. Who has previously British show jumped.
Followed by Misty on Friday bought by Jade, a lovely Connie cross Irish draught, She’s got lovely manners and has hunted lots and nice and genuine in the school.

Many of the younger riders went out show jumping at Elms equestrian today and had a great day with many of them placing:

Newark equestrian weekly update:
On Monday night we had our Christmas themed jump clinic with many riders dressing up for the occasion. We had fun practising bounces over a festive pole exercise, set up as Christmas tree. Working on rhythm, balance and fluency
On Wednesday, We also had our lovely Christmas meal. Where we shared our Secret Santa’s, and had lots of lovely catch ups. Enjoying gorgeous food and many drinks. Spending our evening with one another, whilst sharing our Christmas wishes and what we hope the new year brings.

Celebrating the successes of our wonderful customers is one of the greatest pleasures of our jobs so we’re going to highlight a few over the next few weeks!

First up is our lovely Courtney who today got her first competition win on her pony Meg. 🏆

Courtney has been riding with us for a few years and although her riding journey has not always been smooth sailing she has shown fantastic determination and put in some serious hard work to overcome her nerves and learn to ride her cheeky Meg in the best possible way.

Courtney has really learnt that when you’re riding a horse you love, you have already won - just look at that smile - but all her training and passion is also now rewarding her with those frillies and that is just the icing on the cake!

Huge congratulations Courtney, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to keep supporting you on your journey! 💖

Weekly update:
On Tuesday a few of the staff enjoyed a masterclass with Chris Bartle run by Stubbing court training. Chris is an Eventing high performance coach, we got to enjoy coaching sessions in either poles or jumping. Dannie participated in the 90+cm and Jade and Kiara did pole work.
