If you come across a sick, dying or dead wild bird please do not lift or touch it.

EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE !!

Clare Diane Young of Pawsforasplash hydrotherapy centre and myself are delighted to tell you about our new initiative, Vet Rehab NI.

This collaboration of multidisciplinary therapists all qualified in our respective fields brings the first truly independent vet lead specialist rehabilitation team in Northern Ireland. Collectively we bring the experience to provide chronic pain management, orthopaedic surgical rehab and behaviour therapy.

Existing and new services include:

Dedicated vet lead physiotherapy suite offering acupuncture, medical-grade laser, ultrasound, remedial exercise prescription, and soft tissue mobilisation.

Dedicated hydrotherapy suite, largest heated pool in NI, underwater treadmill operated by three fully qualified therapists with a 4th therapist in training.

Over the coming days and weeks, you will see changes to our social media, email, contact information & website. Paws for a splash and Physiopet will change to Vet Rehab NI.

Our current location in east Belfast enterprise park will remain the same and operate as our hydrotherapy suite. Our physiotherapy suite is located in Dundonald.

We are passionate about all aspects of rehabilitation and strongly believe in a multimodal approach to patient treatment.

This is so very exciting for us and your dog/s. Very much looking forward to continuing your pet's journey and welcoming new patients.

As this beautiful weather continues a reminder not to walk your dog in the heat of the day. I am still seeing people out walking their dogs when it’s not appropriate. Even some mornings and evenings have been too hot. So many have the mindset that their dog MUST get a walk but if conditions are too dangerous then don’t. Missing a walk won’t kill them but a walk just might. Make sure your dogs always have fresh water and shade.
