- We require a Baler Operator to help with the running of the day to day operation of our busy woodshavings baling plant based at Bayram Timber Mill.

You will be working with our existing operator to bale and palletise wood-shavings on our fully automatic baling machine. You will be involved in planning collections and keeping records of goods dispatched. The candidate will also be required to do routine stock checks of our Plastics and Pallets and let Head Office know when stocks are getting low.

Routine maintenance schedules for our plant and machinery must also be observed. Training and ongoing assistance will be provided by our sister companies Service Engineer Department.

Experience: The successful applicant will have a proven background in operating hydraulic/mechanical/automated equipment and possess the ability to work using their own initiative. Ideally knowledge of working in a busy environment and must be a team player with good communication skills to integrate quickly into our small family run team. It would be an advantage to possess a current fork lift truck licence, we currently use a tele-handler fork lift on site, but we will provide training for the successful applicant if required.

Hours: Our hours do have to run alongside the mill’s operating hours – currently the mills operating hours are 6am – 6.15pm Monday to Thursday and 6am – 12 Fridays – We operate on a 3 man basis and the successful candidate’s hours would be required to work a 9 hour day within the operating hours Monday to Thursday and a min of 4 hours on a Friday once fully trained. Some overtime would be required to cover staff holidays and sickness.
