I do see so many more a**l gland issues now as a vet then I did 14 years ago when I qualified. Perhaps diet related? Breed related? Lifestyle related?

These smelly little glands can cause a whole array of symptoms when full and even lead to a painful abscess. A firm poo does helps to keep them empty, so adding fibre to the diet can be extremely useful. Fibre can be added daily.

Fibre is especially helpful when a dog has diarrhoea to help firm the poo, and to keep the tum tip top!
