Date for your diary for a fun day out with your dog. If you haven't visited Central Bark at Clumber Park yet where have you been?! I will be there with Caspar the resuscitation dog offering visitors a chance to try out doggy CPR, hopefully you will never need it but knowing what to do can only be a good thing. It's that time of year again where we see posts about rapeseed being lethal to dogs, it's simply untrue. The worst that is likely to happen is a tummy upset if they eat a load and in rare cases some skin irritation. Please read this post if you are at all worried

🌟Worried about your dog and rapeseed?🌟

At this time of year, we start to notice lots of posts circulating social media regarding rapeseed; these posts are shared extensively and can understandably worry many dog owners. The posts usually state that rapeseed is highly poisonous to dogs, and can cause signs including haemolytic anaemia, blindness, damaged nervous system, digestive disorders and breathing problems.

These posts are misinformation.

The signs mentioned are typically only seen in grazing animals, and most dogs actually remain asymptomatic after exposure to rapeseed. Dogs can develop gastrointestinal upset if they have ingested some of the plant, and there have been reports of skin reactions which resemble burns, but this is extremely rare and does not happen to every dog which comes into contact with it.

Rufus was very relaxed with his Silent Pain Assessment today with the lovely Time for Pooch Canine Massage . Prevention is so much better than cure and dogs are masters at hiding pain, highly recommend one of these assessments

Muttleys is 8 Years old today🥳🥳🥳 and this photo is where it all started. I originally started out dog grooming but had to change tactics after developing a problem with my eyes, dog walking and training became my main business and I've never looked back. Id like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported Muttleys, there have been challenges but we have survived covid and more, your custom and support are never taken for granted, Thank you ❤️
