1/4 of our new baby rats…there was originally 2 that came home around 3 weeks ago, but I just love them so much that 2 more came along yesterday - such a ‘me’ thing to do😂
The two pairs will be gradually bonded and then will hopefully be a happy little rat family in a few weeks time😍

I was taken by surprise today when I asked Ziggy a rhetorical question and he actually answered me😂

This was his first walk with me, I was doing a video to show his owner his response when rewarded with cheese, which I always recommend for working dogs or ‘extra’ dogs as I call them.
‘Extra’ dogs often need extra tastiness to keep them interested in you, instead of the surroundings.
I was super happy with Ziggy’s willingness to please today🙌🏻

This is April and Easter who are Chinese Village Dogs. They are brother and sister who were born in Hong Kong, they have resided there for the past 8 years and just moved to Nottingham! They only understand Cantonese so I’d better get learning🤣

Fun facts-
-Chinese Village Dogs are direct descendants of the first ever domesticated dogs, which were the result of natural selection and self domestication.
-Chinese Village Dogs have been around for atleast 15,000 years, where as most of our modern day breeds were only selectively developed between 150-200 years ago.
-They are one of the most genetically diverse type of dog in the world and are rarely mixed with foreign or pure bred dogs. Although they come in lots of different varieties and aren’t a recognised kennel club breed, they definitely are a breed of their own.
-Asian Village Dogs are where the whole species started - they have played a crucial role in the evolution and domestication of dogs!

These guys are literally history!🌍

After going through a heart breaking time losing two of our family dogs within a short space of time, this fella has joined the Paws Galore family🦜

This is Walter the African Grey Parrot!
He is 3 months old and has a lot of learning to do…I cannot wait to post updates on him as he grows and eventually starts mimicking💚

Hi this is a message to my regular clients, my phone is broken as it’s ended up in the loo🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I will be working as usual tomorrow, but I’m using a different phone and can currently only be contacted by normal text message or call.
Whatsapp is not in use (I can’t access my Apple account which means I can’t use any apps-very annoying)
I can be contacted through Facebook but won’t see these messages straight away.
If you have messaged me and I haven’t replied I apologise!
New phone will hopefully be fully up and running by tomorrow evening - I will still be able to update you on your doggos x

New girl Willow who is 10 weeks old
Can’t wait to watch this little one grow💕

Willow will have puppy visits to start off with and then short walks that are gradually built up over time, until she can eventually one day come on group walks with the rest of the gang!

Yesterday I noticed a little butterfly in the garden and thought nothing more. Tonight I realised the same butterfly was still in the same place and although still alive, it was frozen stiff and hardly able to move😢 so I rescued her, and within a few hours she’s flying around again and ready for release (if I can bring myself to do it😭) Life must be so hard for the wildlife through winter, I stand by saving them no matter how small they are! #AllLivesMatter #PaintedLadyButterfly

Edit: Do not watch this video if you have a weak stomach, Frank looks like he’s face planted a chicken korma🤦🏻‍♀️😭🤣 This walk from today was probably the funniest I’ve ever had and definitely one I’ll never forget. Baby Frank got more than he bargained for when he walked underneath his big brother Bailey (greyhound) while he was doing a runny poo🫣🤣 Good job I keep baby wipes on me🤭😅

Thankyou to everyone who’s asked how Cooper is, he was rushed in for emergency surgery on his abdomen on Tuesday, but has pulled through and now on the road to recovery❤️‍🩹 Thank you so much to all my lovely clients for being understanding over the past two days - things have been abit hectic and inconvenient, but your patience helped me save my boys life which I am forever grateful for🫶🏻

Look how clever Woody is, only 9 weeks old! Tips for those with puppies - use your harness/lead as much as you can at home, even if they can’t go for walks yet. This will help desensitise your puppy, so by the time they can go for walks you will be one step ahead. This will also help to prevent your puppy associating the harness/lead with walks and hopefully you will have a calmer dog when it comes to going out! 🐾 (Ignore my scruffy nails in this video…you can’t work with dogs and have nice nails🤣🤣)
