I've delivered posters to many local businesses today. If you'd like one for your business or place of work please get in touch.
Callie (formally Rosie)
The blonde bombshell on the right of this photo is Callie. Callie arrived with us in June 2023 having been re-homed just 5 days prior. She was terrified of the world and it took us days to get her out of the kennel, with gentle reassurance and lots of patience we soon became pals.
Vet visits were an experience too and she had her 2nd vaccination in the back of the van as the car park and practice were just too busy the day we went.
Barbara got in touch having fallen in love with a friend's Lurcher and after a wee chat about Callie she traveled down from Angus to meet her. She agreed to visit a number of times to spend time with Callie and build a relationship. 62 days after she arrived with us, Callie went off to live with Barbara. They've had some really difficult times and Callie is still frightened of walking through doorways but they're best pals and this photo is of a recent holiday they had with a friend and their dog.
Thank you for adopting a PADS dog Barbara.

Thank you Mary π
Many thanks to Mary Gavin who donated Β£150 to the kennels as a token of appreciation after family friend Stuart Johnstone kindly gifted Mary's daughter furniture for her first home. Refusing payment, Mary said to Stuart she would make a donation to a charity, and chose PADS.

Molly π€
This amazing girl has done it again, Dad Lee sent this photo and this message: "1st for best rescue 2nd for prettiest lady and won best in show I'm such a proud popz"
What a clever girl you are Molly, you've overcome so much with the help of your Mum & Dad π©·. And how lucky are PADS, to have amazing folk like Lee come along and adopt our broken doggos and fix them. π

In memory of Deacon π
13yo Deacon passed away in his Dad's arms on the way to the vets on Monday morning. His Mum Vicki is devastated and although Deacon was not a PADS dog she wanted to help other dogs in his memory.
She travelled to the kennels today with all these goodies and the remaining food she'd had for him. Vicki brought us laundry powder, bleach, blankets, towels and treats for the dogs in our care.
Vicki told me Deacon was "protective, kind, hugely tolerant of his sister and loved by everyone who met him. He would sit and stare in my eyes when I spoke to him and heβd let me rant or be sad and sit with me and snuggle in to make me feel better."
What a wonderful legacy for Deacon. π
π Thank you Aberfeldy community π
We are delighted to accept this boot full of donations plus Β£102.00 in cash.
Thank you to Breadalbane bakery for hosting the collection point and all the local people and businesses who donated.
RIP Fizz π©·
Little Fizz passed away recently, having been rehomed in January 2017. She put up a great fight with an illness but David & Irene had to make the difficult decision to let her go.
Irene & David sent a beautiful card and a cheque for Β£250.00 in her memory. π
Irene wrote:
"Just a thank you for giving us Fizz, she gave us so much love and now the home seems so empty without her. She was a wee fighter the vets said but she has cross the Rainbow Bridge and can run free. We have so many happy memories of Fizz and will cherish these for along, long time."
I'm sure all the Dunning residents will miss her cheeky wee face too π
Some dogs don't need to go on the website as we have lovely families waiting. I just wanted to share this gorgeous face with you all π©·
Molly π
This beautiful lady was terrified of everything when she came to us, we understand that she lived in a home where she regularly witnessed and was the victim of domestic violence.
Molly took such fright one day by a new member of staff that she cleared a 6ft fence without hesitation and was trying to scale the security fences in our compound.
Caroline worked her socks off to gain her trust and got Molly to a point where we knew the only way to help her was to find her a kind and experienced owner and get her out of the very busy and noisy kennels.
Step forward Lee from rural Aberdeenshire! Medically retired with large breed experience we were thrilled when Molly didn't immediately run away when she saw him. Lee made the 6 hour round trip one day and returned again the next day to see her again - he was smitten π₯°
Molly settled in quickly in Buchan and being in the home really helped her confidence grow. Asking for hugs from the dishwasher repair man within the first week was a sure sign she was already feeling safer. Lee dedicated his days to helping Molly overcome her fear of vets, strangers, dogs, car travel, resource guarding and separation anxiety and now, 15 months since she was adopted she's not the same dog. Molly likes meeting people and other dogs, enjoys off lead walks, loves travelling in the van, looks after the house when no-one is home instead of panicking and looking for ways to escape. Her only issue is that pesky cat who Lee reports keeps her in line!
We are thrilled to receive this photo of Molly having won 4th place at Mintlaw Dog Show last weekend. Doesn't she look happy π
Thank you so much Lee and family for your dedication, Molly can enjoy the rest of her life without fear ππ
Abby π
Sweet Abby was handed into the Police as a stray in August, her chip registered to the "breeder" in Northern Ireland who was not interested. After her statutory seven day period she was advertised for rehoming and quickly snapped up by Mike & Ainsley and their dog Gem. We love updates from our dogs and were thrilled to get this message from Ainsley which she's kindly given me permission to share:
" Hey Jo and PADS team! According to Abby's microchip details, it was her 3rd birthday earlier this week! So I thought it would be a nice time to give you a little update. I'm pleased to say it's a good one! Abby is thriving! The last few months have been so positive, she's really settled into the home and truly cemented herself as one of the family. She's experienced her first weekend away and hotel stay, has been on loads of walks and has had her first introduction to mountain biking with me and Mike. She's still a wild thing at times but loves her cuddles and lazy mornings on the couch. She really is a wee cracker π"
Thanks for keeping in touch, so glad to see her looking so well.

Hayley is malfunctioning. Send help. #crossbreed #romaniandog #3christmasesinrescue #adoptdontshop #perthshire
Nine year old Dunning girl Lucy is a huge fan of PADS. She checks the website every day for updates and will ask Mum to check our social media channels at least once a day too. We are thrilled to have her stop by with items chosen from our wishlist and this incredible handmade information board about the dogs we currently have. Of course, Hayley knew Lucy was around and insisted on coming out for a cuddle, a sausage and a good bark!
Dog friendly "mince" pies for Hayley, Macy & Rocky tonight. Please do not give human Mince pies to your dogs.
Louis π I don't like to post when they're actually here (don't want those bad burglars recognising dogs and breaking into houses) but what a pleasure it was to have Louis over the weekend for a wee holiday. Doesn't he look wonderful? π *Rehomed March 2022*
Instagram keeps bullying me into creating a reel so here we are, a reel of this week's insta vids. Just 4 of our wonderful doggos patiently waiting for their new families π
