🐾Cancellations/NoShows/Missedappointments Policy 🐾

While we understand that sometimes appointments have to be cancelled in an emergency, as a small business we do ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice where possible, prior to appointment cancellation as this will enable us to offer your space to another customer on our waiting list.

We reserve the right to charge up to the full price of your dogs groom for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, this will be payable prior to any future booking with JB's Dog Grooming.

In more detail:

If a customer cancels or wants to reschedule their dog with late notice and for whatever reason eg. illness/work etc.
This causes severe problems for the Dog groomer both
financially and by affecting their diary
Non refundable booking fee (50%) per dog

For example, if everyone cancelled their dogs in one week
they would have no income.
Consequently, most, if not all, dog groomers have a late
cancellation policy usually requiring 48 Hours notice or
sometimes more, which gives them the chance to find
another customer to fill the vacant slot, ours is 24 hours
If you are more than 15 mins late for your appointment you
booking fee will be kept and you will have to rebook and a
new booking fee will be taken.
Lack of notice makes it impossible for us to find another
customer therefore you lose your booking fee
Rescheduling "for the next week is not rescheduling that's
cancelling and rescheduling.

Please do not take this personally, as we apply this policy
equally to all of our clients without favour.

🐾GROOMING CONTRACT🐾

Conditions under which dogs are accepted for grooming:

The dog is fit and healthy. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs
is entirely at owners risk. Grooming may expose underlying
skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable.

The dog is vaccinated up to date. An unvaccinated dog puts
itself and others at risk.

It must be clearly understood and agreed that whilst every
care and attention is given to your dog(s) they are accepted
at the owners risk. Our first concern is for the welfare of your
dog so in the event of injury or illness a Vet may be called in
and unless it can be clearly shown that we are liable, all
costs in connection with and in the carrying out of this
instruction shall be at the owners expense. We recommend
Dog Insurance.

Payment will be made on collection of dog. Estimates are
based on an average dog of the breed or type but owners
must remember that some dogs will require extensive extra
work and that this will be charged for on an hourly basis and
owners must collect dogs at time stated. Uncollected dogs
will be charged a sitting fee.

Shaving of dogs will dramatically change their appearance
and the hair will be very short and close to the skin. This
may. expose pre-existing skin complaints. Your written
permission will be required to shave off a matted coat.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE A DOG THAT PRESENTS
ARISK OF INJURY TO ITSELF OR STAFF

Under no circumstances do we accept sedated dogs.
These do not affect your statutory rights.

🐾SHAVE POLICY🐾

De-matting a severely matted coat causes your dog tremendous stress & discomfort.

We will only groom HUMANELY therefore if a dog is presented to us in this condition it is our policy to shave the coat off.

Shaving of dogs will dramatically change their
appearance and the hair will be very short and close
to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin
complaints.
Your written permission will be required
to shave off a matted coat.

A dog that has been shaved may act differently
afterwards, some dogs hide, others jump for joy! It may take your dog a few days to adjust to his newfound freedom of movement.
In extremely cold weather a coat will be beneficial.

We strongly recommend the setting up of regular
grooming appointments to bring your dog's coat back
into shape, and now is the time to start a regular
home-grooming routine.

Shaving off a sevevely matted coat is an
act of kindness & your dog will thank you.

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to give you all an update.

I have had a few people contact me explaining they have sent me a message and I've not gotten back to them, but I have not received the original message, if you have experienced this and i haven't gotten back to you please give me a call as I'm not sure if it's Facebook messing up.

Also I have had a very sad bereavement in the family and some upsetting news so I have been a little out of sorts the past week and apologise if I haven't been myself or if it has taken me a while to get back to you.
Due to the unfortunate events I am trying to help the family as much as possible and might have to reschedule some appointments.
We are not sure of funeral dates etc at the moment but will do my best to make sure everyone is happy.
