Had a lovely day judging some really lovely ratties at NFRS Theale yesterday and catching up with people and meeting new people. Not the greatest of photos, but my 1-4 from today.😀

The doe kittens are living with mum and friends now. It's impossible to film them all in the tank as the adult girls just jump out, so just the kittens.

intros went well with dad, grandad and uncle. The boys are growing well and nearly ready to leave.

no rest for poor Grace, she can't even have a drink without being mobbed.... Only just over a week to go and the bucks will have to move out though!

Sadly Grace has lost one of her kittens, but we have 10 little chubsters growing nicely. I believe there are 5 bucks and 5 does and all will be reserved from previous owners and friends, plus my keepers of course.

For whatever reasons, Grace thought it was a good idea to have her litter in the litter tray (at least it was pretty clean as she's only been in the nursery cage a short time) and when she had finished having her 11 babies, she spent a short time adjusting the nest in the igloo before taking them all in there. :)

born 18/3/21 11 kittens born, 10 surviving of which 5 bucks and 5 does
Does are wheaten burmese dumbo, BE siamese dumbo, BE siamese and two paler rats that are probably silver fawn burmese and silver fawn or champagne siamese.
Bucks are RE siamese dumbo, 2 burmese and 2 (probably) silver fawn/champagne siamese.

Separated Lisa's bucks and does - the does and mamma went in with cousin, auntie, granny and great aunt and barely a squeak. I love it when intros are this simple.

15 days old, she hasn't quite got her eyes fully open yet, but doesn't stop the exploration!

My name is Estelle Sandford. I run a rattery in Litton in Somerset which is in the South West of the United Kingdom. My primary aim in breeding is to improve the longevity, health and personality/temperament of the lines I breed.

Alpha Centauri Stud is my NFRS registered stud name which was achieved by Alpha Centauri Fred, a black eyed white buck when he became a silver champion at the Bradford Championships in January 2001 and many of the rats I have bred over the years have done well at shows and become champions.

Alpha Centauri was inspired by the late Douglas Adam's book 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' with one of the more well know phrases from the book being.....
