Does your dog make a lot of noise when breathing, even at rest, which may sound like snoring, snorting or wheezing?
Does your dog show signs of struggling to breathe, including excessive panting, laboured or heavy breathing?
Is your dog not able to exercise normally and might have to rest on walks?
Does your dog have a blue or grey tinge to their gums (a sign of low blood oxygen)?
Your pet may be in need of BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome) surgery, which is most commonly achieved by surgically widening the nares and shortening the soft palate. If you think your pet may be in need of this surgery then please call us on 01843 591899 to make an appointment with the Vet.
Here is Sparkie before and after Boas surgery, he still has a little longer to recover but is already much improved. The owner says he is now the loudest to snore at home 😂
