The progress continues! I have availability all day Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday afternoon for private walks next week and the week after.

I'm planning some free taster sessions of slow and steady walks at Arrow Valley park, these are specifically for those who have limited mobility so I'm waiting for warmer weather. Watch this space! Please note that one carer can attend for free on any of my group paid walks when these recommence :-)

I have updated my website with a teeny bit more availability. I'm proud of myself for still following the physio's advice to gradually build up my exercise - especially as I would love to be out walking every day for hours! Check it out and let me know what you think.

AGE UK have a Dementia support centre in Redditch located at the forge Mill Needle Museum and operating every Monday. Under 65's all day, all ages from 1.30 to 3.30. This is a fantastic resource for Redditch and offers a real break from the norm opportunity for both those with a mild to moderate Dementia need and their families/carers. The service is currently being offered on a pay what you can basis due to the cost of living crisis. The contact details are in the flyer below.

Merry Christmas! Thank you to everyone who has supported me. Finally my ankle is on the mend so I plan to start gentle public walks around Arrow Valley Visitor Centre and Lake in January. Costs will be low and please remember that they contribute to my business insurance and first aid equipment costs. I'm taking an enforced break from walking for a while but, to quote the Terminator, "I'll be back!"

Unfortunately I have had to make the decision to suspend all walks, probably until the new year, as I seem to be back at square one with my Achilles' problem. What an interesting walk with Skye this morning! Firstly we watched a nuthatch feeding by Papermill Farm, next up was spying a young bullock by Five Tunnels, then a woodpecker started its raucous laughing call close to us, close to the footbridge over Papermill Drive we saw a buzzard being mobbed by crows and I lost count of all of the human and doggy friends we met!!!

First walk of the year in vest top, shorts and sandals 🌞 We are so lucky to have a park that people of all ages can enjoy. I saw dog walkers, joggers, cyclists, fishermen, photographers, sailors, model boat enthusiasts, families enjoying the playground and one family flying model gliders yet it wasn’t too crowded 😊

My recovery from Covid is now at a stage, two weeks after testing negative, where I am confident I am not contagious and I have some energy for short walks. I am, therefore, taking bookings for private walks. Watch out for group walks in the near future 😊
