Gecko's are mainly carnivorous, nocturnal lizards who can scale across smooth surfaces like spiderman !🕸
They are Exotic pets who require a specialist vet for all their healthcare needs. 👑

At last we have some sunshine ! However, it is not always a good thing. The level of humidity combined with the hot rays can make temperatures quite unbearable. 🥵
It is far more important that dogs and ALL animals stay comfortable and safe rather than exercise in heat. Please do not walk your dogs in the heat and never leave them in a car. Thank you 👑

Lungworm is just as common in the summer months. It is carried in infected slugs and snails but your dog does not have to eat an infected slug or snail as the slime they leave behind can be just as dangerous. 🐌
The disease that is caused by Lungworm often has no symptoms until the disease is quite advanced and lungworm disease can and does kill. It doesn't happen often but it does happen - we have seen it. ☹️
Therefore the best way to ensure your dog is fully protected is by using a prescription grade parasiticide recommended by your vet. 👑

We often think of arthritis in cooler months but it is during the lighter days that changes in cats can become apparent.
Cats are extremely clever at hiding pain and discomfort so we have to look for the signs. Just take 5 minutes to check when they are in the garden
😺are they moving slower than last year
😺thinking twice about leaping and jumping
😺stay in the same place for longer
😺licking areas around joints
😺grumpier than usual
Slowing down can be a natural part of aging but pain and stiffness certainly shouldn't be. Book in for a Health Check and a discussion about options available to improve your cats quality of life.😺👑
