Tisbury's Aquatic Centre is a long standing family business set up in 1950. We offer an range of services around the aquatic hobby which includes ponds, tropical aquariums and marine aquariums. We stock a large variety equipment, food, treatments, aquariums, decorations, filters and more. If you cannot find what you are looking for ask one of our members of staff who can direct you to it, offer an

alternative or (if we do not have it as regular stock) order it in, however, please note that it can take some time to order in products and we'd appreciate your patience. We also offer a water testing service for your aquarium or pond.

Fish If The Day - Arrived TODAY!
Black Ghost Knife Fish (Apteronotus albifrons)
This amazing fish is better for larger community tanks, as they can reach 50cm, and will see any smaller fish as a potential snack. They are amazing to watch, swimming front and backwards, and love weaving in and out of rocks/plants. Well worth considering if you like "oddball" fish 😍

Corydoras Sterbai
Max Size 2.5"
Max Life Span 10-12 years (with good water quality).
All Corydoras catfish are great additions to a community aquarium. The Sterbai is no different, especially with its striking pattern! They are a shoaling fish, so need a group to be happy. We keep several species of Corydoras in stock, so why not pop in and see?!

Bristle Nose Catfish (ancistrus)
Max Size 5-6"
These algae eaters are a better option than the plecostomus for most, due to the fact the maximum size is 6" - plec's getting a lot bigger. They are ideal for a community aquarium, like lots of places to hide. The name "Bristle Nose" comes from the males getting Bristle's around there nose/mouth!

Festivum Cichlid (Mesonauta festivus)
Max Size 6"
A Cichlid that can be kept in a large community tank (smallest fish - deep bodied tetra). These peaceful fish, need places to hide (plants, wood etc). They will grace any tank where tank mates are to big to snack on, often over looked, but definitely worth consideration 😍

Lifespan 10-12 years
The humble goldfish! Probably most people's first pet, they are a traditional and long standing coldwater fish! Just be aware of the potential adult size in standard goldfish, and have a tank big enough, or a pond to move them into at a later date. The standard variety (blackmoor, red cap, fantail, ranch) are better in a tank, as they don't get as big!
