We thought it was time to re-introduce ourselves at The Pooch Parlour, for all of the beautiful old and new puppies we have had the pleasure of meeting and grooming.

Most of you know me (Angela), I'm the owner of the Pooch Parlour and have been grooming dogs in Ruddington for 5 years now and loving every minute of it. I thoroughly enjoy having a chat with my customers, both the two legged and four legged ones who just pop in to say hi.

Recently I have had Nikii come to join me, she has relocated here from Lincolnshire. Nikii has been around animals her whole life and has been grooming dogs for 6 years, Nikii is first aid qualified and has studied animal health and well-being at collage.

She is enjoying getting to know all of the doggies that come to see us in the salon and she too is always up for a good chat.

As an introductory offer to all her new customers Nikii is offering 10% off on their first grooms.

First week at Ruddington ✅ completed it mate. 🫶
What an amazing first week I've had and I absolutely love working with Angela, she has such a lovely, understanding way with the dogs.
I haven't managed to get pictures of all the dogs because it's been so busy but I will certainly make more effort to try capture them all in the future. 📸

My time at Doggie Diva in Humberston has come to an end!
Thank you all for trusting me with your absolutely perfect pooches. As always I have loved their company, kisses, cuddles and even the odd growl or two! 😁 I will miss each and every one of them.

Now time to continue my dog grooming journey at The Pooch Parlour Dog Grooming - Ruddington, a beautiful salon that I'm very much looking forward to joining.

🔴 Important Notice Please Read 🔴
Due to a change in circumstance and the new unit not being able to go ahead, I have had a long hard think about moving forward and have decided to take this break from Dog Grooming to relocate completely.
I have found a wonderful salon in Nottingham so will be moving there to be with my partner and start over.

I have however, been working with the new dog groomer at Doggie Diva and will leave all of my clients in their spaces if possible with her and will be contacting the ones I need to move.

I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and grooming your dogs and will be sad to part ways with them.

Super proud of River and her owners. She was a little matted to begin with so couldn't achieve the desired results but with dedication from her owners River has definitely come far, knot free and so much more confident with her grooms and is now edging closer to becoming the sassy little Diva we love ❤️🐩✂️

What do you do when a dog is faaaaaaar too excitable to get a picture? Well you just give up on the picture, sit on the floor and embrace the playfulness instead 😅🤷🏼‍♀️🖤

Congratulations to Lindy Rack who got the free bath and deshed on The Ark Animal Rescue and Retirement Home Christmas raffle. Currently being done by Doggie Diva because she can't resist those double coated desheds. As you can see it's working a treat on Fliss and is very much needed 😅 it's snowing fluff in the salon. 😍❄️✂️

When grooming dogs we are always on the look out for any health issues, parasites or foreign bodies that may be hidden from the owners sight. This week I found a little tick hidden away so safetly removed it using a Tick Twister. We sell these in the salon for just 50p in a pack of 2 (large and small). These are a very effective and safe way of removing Ticks and avoiding any other strategy that isn't the best way of removing them (smothering them in vaseline or lighting a match above them just to name a few) 😅.

Sometimes clipping nails (especially dark nails) can be a bit of a guessing game when they're long so it becomes much safer and effective to dremel them as seen in the video and picture. This allows us to reshape the nails and it becomes clearer when you're getting closer to the quick (the sensitive part that makes the nail bleed). This gorgeous Frenchie was the perfect puppy today for his nail dremel, falling asleep in the hammock whilst having it done and just look how much shorter and better shaped his nails are now compared to the nails I hadn't done yet! 😍

Today was Willows first full groom day!!! During Willows puppy introductions she has been a little scared of the drier but today on her first full groom she managed it with no issues at all 😁❤️✂️ Happy first full groom day Willow you little cutie! 🎓🎉

Good afternoon. My apologies for being quiet, unfortunately the water pipes to the salon froze in December and now my pipes have burst flooding the salon so I am in the process of getting that fixed. Thank you for your patience during this process. ☔☔ 🌟🌟Now onto better news!🌟🌟 As of February I will be working for and alongside Mucky Mutts - Humberston in their salon which I am very much looking forward too 😁 I will keep Louth way regulars at my salon but most of my clients will be moved to Humberston facilities. Once again thank you for your patience and I can't wait to see my little doggy friends again. Thank you 🐾🐕🐩
